Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Swans with decisions to make 26th Feb 2026 16:45
Swansea City visit Ipswich Town on Saturday with the majority of people already putting this clash down as a home win. That may well be the case but the Swans are not exactly playing badly with their last two away games resulting in a win and a loss. 0

Tractor Boys v The Swans : Beware of results that went before 27th Feb 2026 19:18
Ipswich Town followers are very confident of getting the three points come the end of tomorrow’s game against Swansea City at Portman Road. As we mentioned yesterday this is very much the case, the Swans are the underdogs and are even unfancied for a draw. 0

Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Match day on the Indy & team news 28th Feb 2026 10:36
It’s match day on the Indy as we take the run up to today’s fixture at Portman Road between Ipswich Town and Swansea City. We will also carry team news and latest on this game. 0

Ipswich 3 Swansea City 0 : What a shocking mess ! 28th Feb 2026 18:11
Two defensive errors and Swansea players still in their sleeping bags at the start of this fixture lost any chance of taking anything from this game. Referee, Anthony Backhouse added his usual mismanagement of a Swans game which we mentioned pre match, and all together it was an another sleepwalk back to the days of Russell Martin. 1

Officials
REFEREE: ANTHONY BACKHOUSE: Has been Referee 4 times & 4th official once at the Stadium
ASSISTANT: MARK STEVENS : Has been an Assistant 3 times at the Stadium
ASSISTANT: MARK SCHOLES : Has an Assistant 11 times at the Stadium
4th OFFICIAL: TOM REEVES: Has been Referee once & 4th official 6 times at the Stadium

Indy : Say what you like but this referee continually involves himself in drama of his own making when officiating Swansea City. It isn’t just the Swans. We have been citing this for three seasons. Penalties waved away that have been so blatant, overall command of the game being poor as he gradually makes the game about him instead of the enjoyment of the match in question. How he still gets Championship games is open to debate.

We're going to have to manage Vipi's minutes until Idah is fit again so as little as I rate Cullen I can understand that call as necessary now and again.

Yalcouye has earned a start. Likewise Nunes. Widell is becoming increasingly valuable to the starting XI. Still think Key has probably earned enough trust for us to put Galbraith into midfield. Perhaps my only quibble.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Got to watch that ref today mate he has a history of game mismanagement involving the Swans.

Agree on the three coming in. I’m certain Vipotnik will get his appearance money.

I expected Galbraith to be in the middle after Tuesdays second half, but it could happen again later today.

Was hoping that the team starting the second half on Tue would start today.

Stamenic has waltzed straight back into the team and I'm far from sure that pushing Galbraith back into his natural position wasn't a better option.

Crucial for today, stay onside, don’t overplay and look forwards.

I haven't seen enough of Ipswich recently, all I know is they are good on the break. So keep the ball and keep our shape?

Decent finish. Piss poor clearance by Cabango.

We're not very good at keeping the ball for some reason

Both goals have come down our right hand side.

We lose more playing EG out of position and not where he can be effective than we risk by putting Key back in.

I missed the first goal, but that second goal was so easy for the goal scorer, was it Burgess that was approaching the goal scorer and just stuck his leg out and turned his back shocking defending, just seen their first and another soft sloppy goal conceded again.

Our defence needs some serious work.

When a team like us play away to a team like Ipswich this is the likley outcome they are going for promotion while we will proberly finish in a league position of 12th to 16th we are simply not good enough, the best we can hope for now is for Ipswich to think the game is already won and become complacent.

Only the exclusion of Vipotnik for me is maybe odd but Cullen is in there. Starting Nunes, Yalcouyé and Widell was what I thought most fans wanted.

I was hoping after Matos saw the positive impact Galbraith had on our midfield in the 2nd half on Tuesday night, that he would start him there today and every game.
Can he really afford not to play our most influential midfielder in his default position.
The defense currently is pretty poor, so playing Key in there, wouldn't make a lot of difference. Its obvious to me that our two centre halfs cannot play together. Not sure which one needs a rest and try a plan B. Tymon is now out of sorts as well, so please please, let Galbraith run the midfield like he did on Tuesday.

Dumb and dumber at centre back. Both need replacing in the summer.

According to Matos, if we play Galbraith at FB it allows us to overload the midfield.

Didn't work Tuesday. Isn't working today.

Matos needs to rethink.

I remain unconvinced about using Stamenic as the deep lying midfield fulcrum too. He's good at a number of things, but he's just not quick enough on the ball, either passing it or running forward himself for me.

It's related to the Galbraith situation and our midfield in general really. We've struggled to get the mix right.

Without a doubt, Galbraith is getting caught out of position far to often.

I would take dominating the midfield as opposed to overloading it any day of the week. I suspect like Sheehan, he is trying to please certain players instead of picking his best 11 and sticking to it.
