Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Swans with decisions to make 26th Feb 2026 16:45 Swansea City visit Ipswich Town on Saturday with the majority of people already putting this clash down as a home win. That may well be the case but the Swans are not exactly playing badly with their last two away games resulting in a win and a loss.0
Tractor Boys v The Swans : Beware of results that went before 27th Feb 2026 19:18 Ipswich Town followers are very confident of getting the three points come the end of tomorrow’s game against Swansea City at Portman Road. As we mentioned yesterday this is very much the case, the Swans are the underdogs and are even unfancied for a draw.0
Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Match day on the Indy & team news 28th Feb 2026 10:36 It’s match day on the Indy as we take the run up to today’s fixture at Portman Road between Ipswich Town and Swansea City. We will also carry team news and latest on this game.0
Ipswich 3 Swansea City 0 : What a shocking mess ! 28th Feb 2026 18:11 Two defensive errors and Swansea players still in their sleeping bags at the start of this fixture lost any chance of taking anything from this game. Referee, Anthony Backhouse added his usual mismanagement of a Swans game which we mentioned pre match, and all together it was an another sleepwalk back to the days of Russell Martin.1
@GwynStato on X Officials REFEREE: ANTHONY BACKHOUSE: Has been Referee 4 times & 4th official once at the Stadium ASSISTANT: MARK STEVENS : Has been an Assistant 3 times at the Stadium ASSISTANT: MARK SCHOLES : Has an Assistant 11 times at the Stadium 4th OFFICIAL: TOM REEVES: Has been Referee once & 4th official 6 times at the Stadium
Indy : Say what you like but this referee continually involves himself in drama of his own making when officiating Swansea City. It isn’t just the Swans. We have been citing this for three seasons. Penalties waved away that have been so blatant, overall command of the game being poor as he gradually makes the game about him instead of the enjoyment of the match in question. How he still gets Championship games is open to debate.

Indeed, 100%.
Someone posted we've regressed under Vitos, are you serious, genuinely think we'd be nailed on for relegation under Sheehan.
Allow me to We have done both We have improved compared with Sheehan but have not progressed as we should have Galbraith by now should be an established midfield general , he has a lot of ability A midfield of Stamonic Widdell Galbraith Nunez Franco should be one that sees us perform better than we have seen Comments on sports teams cones two ways ; praise and criticism Positive or negative now is sadly the zeitgeist
People amongst us are fighting all sorts of personal battles and football is a relief from pain , worry and uncertainty of the future It’s joy in winning and indignation in defeat Football was all about working men in a hostile dirty dangerous job clocking off at noon on a Saturday to get to a game whereupon players teams managers owners were slagged off and loved on equal measure Sport does that to people Folk have forgotten that That simple
Yesterday , there was a correlation , at least to me, which our team and wales rigbu v Rngland The opposition simply waited for mistakes , ie giving ball away , then punishing Ipswich were devastatingly clinical The play off will see Wrexham v Ipswich fight for Prem League Ipswich were third level , Wrexham lower but both clubs rebooted and re funded and you have to admire that It hurts

Vitos has been a breath of fresh air, but there's only so much he can do once the players go on the pitch, I hop he gets the support he needs in the summer to improve the squad and I hope the club can maybe keep the players that he'll want to keep, it won't be easy.

Had a few good passages of play, but ended up being well beaten. I guess the difference between us and the top teams are: (1) we still don't have much in the way of creativity and penetration up front; and (b) we have more than the odd defensive mistake in us.
Decent points there AJ.

You’ve been over reacting to defeats for 20 years ( that I know of ). Sadly for you and this forum you can’t seem to help yourself from posting reactionary crap which very rarely has any substance. You seem to enjoy the opportunity to moan when we lose. But it does bog down the forum and turn people off from using it. It’s just tedious and monotonous.
Have a day off.
We lost away to one of the best sides in the league. We aren’t one of those yet but we are definitely making progress. There’s a feel good factor around the Club. If you went to a game you might understand.
Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

I think we would have all taken our current position a few months back and to be fair we have seen some good football in the main since Matos took charge so this gives me hope that things will improve next season. The frustrating thing with us is how easy we let teams score, a few yesterday might have been stopped if players actually bust a gut to get closer to the man taking a shot, a lack of desire to make the blocks cost us yesterday.
Its clear to all that we need a few additions and also need to evolve our style if we are going to compete next year - more pace in the team, a better balanced squad with more physicality and players who can break the press and get us moving forward quicker. We need to ship out a few that just aren't good enough, hopefully we can find buyers so we can re-invest and rebuild.
The coaching team must realise that our current way of playing is limited, predictable and easy to set up against - everyone can see this including opposition teams so they need to earn their money and develop a more effective way of playing utiliisng the players we have.
Look at the teams competing up the top and they all have 3 things in common: 1. Big physical players in key positions 2. Can get the ball forward quickly 3. Press effectively high up the pitch

We don't take any game for granted at Portman Road this season. Yeah we've done well after a disaster season in the Premier league when only winning one time there all season and while nice to see so many wins arrive now back at second league level we respect any opposition team that comes here. I know Swans fans had to travel a whole lot of distance to make the trip there and back and sorry you didn't get the performance from your team your journey deserved.
You still created chances though, Walton was kept busy on occasion and you got forward and didn't give up but in the end it was kind of too routine for us. If there's a chance of top six there this season just improve on yesterday and believe you can do it. Hope everyone had a good Wales day, national holiday thing etc, there's a lot of prestige and honor in the nation.
