If we're not financially stable enough to hold onto players we want to hold onto and just want to be a selling club, then why are they talking about getting promoted back to the "promise land"? I get it that some players would want to move on to try and achieve their dream, but surely the club can sell the clubs dream to them especially the established players etc, other clubs manage to hold onto to their players in the main, but to lose 3 maybe 4 players who are basically the spine of the squad ain't gonna help SCFC realise their dream.
We can't just go on sourcing these players to then lose them after a season or two, we are never gonna get any progression, when we need to keep players and add similar quality to the squad, etc. [Post edited 30 May 0:14]

There was a Satisfaction of a charge in full recorded at Companies House this week by the club. Major financial decisions are often made outside of the view of supporters. I'm not sure of the details but for it to be done so close to the end of the financial year indicates to me, possibly wrongly, that there is slightly more money available this month than planned. It could have been planned well in advance or did the Santos money give a bit of wriggle room late in the year. But as I say we don't see everything that is going on financially. | | | |

I find it nauseating when someone says the club is lacking ambition by selling better players when the owners are putting in the maximum they can within rules, £13M year on year. I can't see anyone going before the 1st July and the new financial year, any income this year could lose the benift of compliance under the new regs. If the club feel we are currently compliant there would be no benift feeding more money into the accounts this year, the reason our two signings are becoming official July1st. Purely my opinion on the financial side, I could be wrong though. Football reasons are something else. | | | |

with reports of Stoke and west ham looking at Galbraith and Key being reportidly interesting others, i would hope that we would demand the highest fee possible for clubs after any of our players in the same div and if the player is on a longer than 1 year left on his contract just say "not for sale"
if we are going to be in the top 10 this season we need to keep guys we have here who are already helping to take this club upwards not selling them, we needed a bigger squad as it showed last season with more quality and depth in some areas
if we are going to be up there we need to keep ALL our better guys and bring in the people to improve the areas that needed help, am hoping things start to move after july 1st | | | |
