I thought Martin finished three points off the play offs after nine games undefeated at the end of the season ?
One wonders what would have happened if he had stayed another season. Your thoughts?
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Correct! Martin was acting like a spoiled child because he didn't get any recruits during the Jan window. By 1st or 2nd week in March he figured out that he didn't need any recruits, switched to a different formation in the back (going from 3 CB's to 2) and started his undefeated streak with 7 wins, 2 draws, and 0 losses. Should have made the playoffs but his petulance and hard-headedness kept the Swans out.

A theme we'd seen a few times throughout his tenure. We'd have a run of poor results, he'd make changes to his process, we'd win a couple to ease the pressure and then out came Russyball again.
I don't know why the last, worst spell of results didn't force the change sooner. Maybe he thought enough idiots had been convinced that the club was to blame rather than him to be able to blag his way through it.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yet another nothing season.....we should have got into thenplayoffs that second season....that end of season run came because Russ ditched his process as he did througjout his time here when he was in trouble.
He eas outmof his depth and his time at Southampton in the PL and at Rangers proved his process doesnt work. Yet there is still live ofr him....in the meanwhile we have had 3 managers since aand niw the fourth Matos is serving up some good football.....ifs and buts.

Its also worth remembering that in that second season we went almost half a season with just a single win against a team that wasn't reduced to 10 men (the 4-0 win vs Watford)

Brilliant sliding intervention on 78 minutes as well.
Yep, he may have had his ups and downs, but the ability to stay in top shape over a long hard season is invaluable. Even more so when you consider his international travels too!
A number of sliding interceptions by a number of players which help reduce the number of attacks that Chalton could create while keeping them under pressure.

I thought he played really well today, kept it simple and did the business
I thought they all played well today and kept it simple and yet the variety of movement even in the first half was good to put players into space to put pressure on Chalton but not getting the ball to feet further up the pitch let our good approach work down.

I’ve checked the date, and it’s not April Fools day….
According to Spanish outlet AS, the 24-year-old has caught the attention of the Sky Blues and two other Premier League sides, with the same report claiming Swansea are "expecting the worst". 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As stated earlier …
Swansea City : Outlets ‘Filling’ you with unresearched nonsense 8th May 2026 14:01 Call it what you want but the holes in the latest reports connecting players to Swansea City are poorly researched, the obvious connection can only be to get clicks (or take your money) and move on.0
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

It is depressing to see the smart arse comments about Ronald on social media. Numerous
"I will pay for the taxi " and
"I will drive him to Coventry myself " and another
" how much are we willing to pay Coventry?"
I just do not understand fans like this. The guy is 24 a with room to improve. 4 goals 4 assists is not terrible.
Although I don't agree with the bitterness in the comments, if we can get any sort of reasonable fee we should sell and get an upgrade. This year he has been very disappointing going forward and has been played for his defensive qualities, in my opinion this is not what a wide player should be picked for unless we are playing three at the back, we don't. Its laughable when you comment on things like this when you don't watch him week in week out on and off the ball. Although I don't agree with the tone of their comments I can see where they are coming from, Ronald has been our most frustrating player this season, possibly down to what his coach wants him to do, but still very, very frustrating. A move would be good for club and player, we need better.

Your last sentence: who would you suggest we get?

No idea mate, quite often we sign players I haven't heard of until they sign. Galbraith being an exception because I watched him from his Salford days.

Ronald has to be one of the best crossers of a ball I’ve seen, since Leighton James. As for his dribbling skills, they are up there with Georgie Best. Not forgetting his Shearer like heading ability at corners. He has to be one of the best players to grace a football pitch, since his namesake Ronalo. We should offer him a 4 year extension to his current deal immediately.
