First was a red - gave the ref no choice - DOGSO
Second was a bit harsh but it looked intentional though it wasn't technically a closed fist
Third was also harsh the defender and attacker going out wide defender is stretching to attempt to play the ball and minimal contact before the SA took off like Superman looking for the foul and making a huge meal of it, Yellow at best. |
It happened very quickly (second sending off) and it was such a quick call from VAR to ref I was a bit curious |  |

I didn't see that section of the crowd looks to be mostly Mexicans in there - local ticket uptake too pricey? Potests and boycotts? lack of interest in the 2 teams? - everywhere I saw looked pretty full - I don't think many of these games will be a sell out and 44,985 in a 45,664 stadium isn't bad - I take it the article is suggesting there were far more than 700 seats empty ?
