When he came he stated he didn’t want to go anywhere else.
Now, there seems to be a stalemate based upon a new contract offer and the release clause inserted by Swansea.

Hence the new contract offer and his refusal to sign, I wonder if the signing on fee will ever be disclosed. I will be surprised if he is still our player at the end of next week. |

It does.make we wonder why we didnt put together some better form of contract last year...one which gave an improvement after 12months...and with a sensible release fee.....im sure at negotiations then given we were paying such a relatively small sum for a player of his pedigree and potential a higher release fee close to whatbwe are currently askimg included using the arguement that we will be givimg a fair sum back in sell on....
That said Galbraith isnt showing much ambitiin if he goes to Southampton from us....after all had we had a decent ref we would have beaten them down here.

Im not sure it will definitely be Southampton, possibly teams are posturing and making their intentions known. I'm still convinced he knows where he is going be it Southampton or somewhere else. The Championship will be a very difficult league to get out of next season and if Galbraith has Premier League aspirations Southampton may well not be one of the teams going up. | | | |

It does seem the longer this goes on with the silence the more likely it's looking he will go at some point. Personally I excepted this a while ago. A good player but we didn't miss him when he was injured nor does he have the best stats
That doesn't mean he isn't good. I do think he will go on to do well, but I have no time for players thinking they are the next big thing after 1 season with us and a few good international appearances. He'll no doubt get his move, but give it a season or 2 and he will do the same when another club comes sniffing. | | | |

When you sign a good player imagining the fact he is going to get better is their job. Valuations always increase when a player proves himself in a higher league.
We all loved Piroe but we appeared to get a good fee for him. He has not proven himself up to Premier leagues standard - Yet.
The "way above what anyone would have imagined 12 months ago" is an ready written excuse for someone who has not done his (or her) job properly. . |  |

We could also demand payment in full not instalments, take it or leave it. Complying with the buyout but not making it easy. It would certainly help our cash flow next season. If it is Southampton they have never done us any favours. | | | |
