Ceuta (Soota) is the correct pronunciation, you would have thought professional journalists would do their homework. The difference between Spain and the UK is those opposed to illegal migration won’t be standing on the side of the road shouting at people on the opposite side.

The Home Office recently proudly announced thar they had since Labour has come into office stopped 46 thousand crossings and returned 70 thousand illegals but this has been dismissed by the Centre of Migration Control by saying that 35% left of teir own volition ,25% were paid to leave and 25% deported and out of that figure 2 out of three were europeon nationals. Who ever is telling the truth it still amounts to uncontrolled invasion and the recent crossing into Cueta won't be felt in mainland europe for a while but they will be .The crossings maybe lessening but they're now coming in largers vessels .We've already seen scenes of attacks on these migrants and there's rarely a happy ending when the violence starts .

Band played there last September. It was volatile then. The main issue for these people will be getting from Cueta to the Spanish mainland. It’s virtually impossible. The straits of Gibraltar are very dangerous.
I can’t see the Spanish govt processing them that quickly, they re slow at the best of times. So, maybe they will bring them over and give them the right to residency. However, the rules now for uk etc people wanting to live here (Spain) are tight and you need a lot of retirement cash.
I’m thinking these rules won’t be applied to the hundreds of thousands getting into Spain.

Meanwhile the Guardian reports families crossing into Cueta, I haven't seen a picture of a female migrant let alone a family!

Youth unemployment has been an issue in Spain for many, many years. From a high of around 55 percent ten years ago it's now about 25 percent. Ordinary people in Spain must be questioning what is going on with the increase in legal immigration?
Once all this truly kicks off and it will, at least those of us who have and are allowing this illegal immigration get to this stage will be to old or even dead to worry about it, but what a legacy to leave our younger children and Grandchildren seeing as they will be the ones endangering there lives trying to rectify what we will have caused, we should be ashamed of ourselves, especially those deluded fools who are actually encouraging all this and those who be belive it will benefit the country.

One of the reasons I wanted out of the EU in 2016 was because I expected the whole thing to collapse within 30 years and thought we'd be better off outside when it happened. If things continue as they are then that 30 years might have been optimistic.

I have just seen footage from a Spanish news online . It is total chaos in Cueta . I would say it is nearing civil war conditions. Supermarkets have shut and the locals can not buy food or drink . They are all shut because of mass looting attempts by migrants . I have seen migrants scaling walls to break into people's homes . There are reports of a party being held by locals in Cueta with 200 guests , being gatecrashed and robbed of their possessions by a horde of immigrants . It is total anarchy ATM.
