Martin used to see Latibeudiere in training every day and thought he was a winger. He used to see Cullen every day and thought he was better than Whittaker.
Managers are not infallible. They have their own thoughts and processes and are often wrong. I hope Matos is right and we will be able to get away without playing a genuine creator in the middle when we need to get past a defensive side. |
I'd put a lot more trust in Matos than Martin Grimes played like a quarter back for Coventry last season I can see Eustaquio playing in a similar way and with good wingers I can see us creating chances | |

Perhaps, although we've not exactly given him many chances to prove himself in the side.
The question I have to ask is why, if he isn't/wasn't Matos' cup of tea, something wasn't said before we brought him in in the first place. VM had been here for a couple of months by then.
Maybe something was said and Matos was overruled, which isn't a comforting thought either. |

I stated this before in another post. If you will look at Matos choices of substitutions in the Sheff U game, you will see why Walta didn't get subbed into the game.
Eom & Vip came in for Yeo & Idah respectively at 61'. Key was subbed in for an injured Cabango and Widell for Just at 67'. Stewart, the 5th and final substitute went in for Fulton at 81'.
IMO - Walta, who probably was going to be subbed into the game in the 2nd half, didn't get into the game due to Cabango's injury. Again, my opinion only. | | | |

We bought him because we signed a commitment before he even kicked a ball for us, all down to PSR at the time. Sometimes you buy a player and it doesn't work out, isn't the purchase success rate in the championship under 50%. | | | |
