Seems AfD are on course to victory and possibly a majority. This could be a major turning point in Europe. France could follow and ourselves next time around.

Interesting reporting on what is happening in Germany, the AfD is being opposed by coalitions of opposition parties which is backfiring and feeding the AfD vote. The Government is trying to use legal tools to blunt the AfD.
So in short the people are fed up, they are voting for radical policies so the Government instead of doing something about the core issues is trying to out manoeuvre the AfD.
Why stop there? There's loads of other ant-woke stuff they want to do.
Like supporitng Russia in the war with Ukraine, removing disabled children from mainstream schooling, stopping gay marriage and same sex adoption.

Being Devil's advocate for a minute - Afd is a broad church of right wing factions
The Party is split on 'support' for Russia - more a case that Germany shouldn't be getting involved as the Donbas should be viewed as a localised war/dispute. There are those that think Russia has been demonized by NATO and want sanctions lifted. There is also the polar opposite factions that are anti-Putin and support Zelensky.
The stance on disabled kids is that they would fare better in specialised schools -Förderschulen - not take them out of education completely as your post implies.
Yes, the more conservative trad Christian element want to see an end to same sex church weddings on religious objections but the current stance on legal civil partnerships remains.
Same sex adoption? Well again there is noise to end it but Alice Weidel AFD's openly Lesbian leader has 2 adopted kids with her Sri Lankan partner so go figure how much of an issue that is at the end of the day...
For the record I don't support any of the above specific ideas or policies - not keen on any of them in fact - but there is a lot of AFD thinking that I agree with, so will many on here and obviously so do a lot of Germans.
Like I said it's a broad coalition of right wing factions that have been brought together to tackle the German equivalent of the looney left, some more extreme than others.

The Danes do have the Danish People's Party which is a strange beast - very anti immigration and anti-Islam vowing to keep Denmark Danish but the rest of the manifesto is very centre left leaning towards socialism.
I get the point you are making though - in terms of respective elected numbers DPP has slightly more than Reform as things stand so is a minority party and that is likely to stay roughly the same, but in Germany, France and the UK a seismic shift is likely because of those countries failing to take a hardline on immigration like the Danes have done. Denmark is a good example of how listening to the concerns of the electorate and acting on them can work.

Now I am happy for any of this to be corrected but there is a lot about her on social media and to start with apparently she disagrees with homosexuality but...she's a lesbian. There was female politician the other week up in arms because immigrants were being moved into her Town, Village etc.

If you look at history he looniest leaders come to power on the back of very bad governments over a period of time.
