Of course they will appeal.

They have cheated, lied, obstructed every inch of the way in this process. I fully expect them to be as obstructive as possible even after the punishment is dished out. This could run on for years. Just hope they get everything they deserve & the quicker the better.

I wonder if the EPL, FA, UEFA will be as brave as the Scottish FA were in dealing with Glasgow Rangers when it comes to deciding punishment …

Totally agree but I would bet good money all the big clubs find a way around FFP, certainly not to the level of Man City but I’m sure they do.

We were going to do a report on how, legitimately it could be achieved legally, but not as far as Man City have. It was so complicated to say the least, I’m not surprised this has taken so long.

I have a friend who has been working on this case for the last 3 years and according to them City WILL 100% be relegated, to which division is still being negotiated as it has major consequences on clubs all the way down the pyramid....its not an easy solution as it affects all clubs in the leagues below, whatever happens they are going down and with their owners facing prosecution and players with exit clauses in their contracts we will see a major fall from grace for Man City.

There is playing the system and then there is taking the absolute p@ss, their ownership group need to be made an example of and to warn foreign investors that you cant mess around with our game regardless of how much money you have (they tried in golf too and failed there also). Fair play to the premier league for holding their shape throughout this arduous process and countless challenges from a heavyweight legal team at Man City.

Next up the Chelsea enquiry in a few years as none of that makes financial sense either......it has to be a level playing field for everyone.

Glasgow rangers got kicked to the bottom of the Scottish divisions a while back,

Citeh will be playing in the National League next season if the same type of punishment is applied

Take them 4 seasons to get back to premiere league. I think that's fair given they cheated for approx 5 seasons

Man City Guilty of Financial Irregularities on 07:20 - Oct 1 with 1597 viewsDr_Winston

The scale of the cheating was for about eight or nine seasons wasn't it? And that's not even going into the ongoing issues with them failing to provide evidence which means that the cheating might still be going on, or the fact that their entire modern structure is based on that cheating.

In addition to forcing the owners to sell, casting them into non-league and stripping them of every trophy won, I'd also ban them from the Prem for the same number of seasons so even if they win their way straight back to the Championship they're still not allowed back into the top flight.

It's nothing to do with Burnham and the FA should tell him to butt out if he gets involved again.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yes they probably are. To be honest I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Go back 10…20…30 years ago and if the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc wanted your best player then money was never an issue no matter where it came from.

The fact that they can service that debt is what makes the difference.

When they come to build their new stadium their overall debt will probably triple, but they'll be expecting increased incomes from it and any associated developments to make that debt serviceable too.

It's basically how a lot of corporations operate. Very few of them are cash rich.

The charges will get watered down in my opinion, they've bringing Abu Dhabi itself into the conversation now, why now and not before I wonder, this will drag on much longer than 12 weeks you could probably double that time, I'd be surprised if it didn't.

Heard that on talksport yesterday morning whilst on my way to Fishguard, be interesting to know what Simon Jordan will say about that though.

Brown envelopes have been exchanged for this to have happened, it'll now be the biggest manhunt for years. No body knows where he is, maybe just his Father.

He won't be the only one. Imagine a club in the conference with a 60k stadium full of ibternational stars!

The stadium might be there, those stars will move on, if not in january they'll certainly want out if the punishment is that strong, which it should be.
