And at the same time we have to get people back into work.
There was that stat that came out yesterday that 4 out of 5 new jobs created in the last x years were taken by arrivals from abroad.
Schrödinger's immigrants- simultaneously taking our jobs whilst also claiming our benefits 😉
At the volumes we're talking about Schrodinger was (sort of) right.
Based on what I see daily there aren't all that many migrants who spend an awful lot of time on benefits. Still too many for sure, but not considerably huge amounts.
It's becoming increasingly apparent to me though that there are major problems in the employment market. Even basic level, sometimes even part time jobs aren't available in the quantities that they used to be.
If someone brought to the UK is filling a job that someone born here can't get then that is a serious problem.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Just to pee me off even more than I already am , letter in a brown envelope on my doormat from HMRC saying I have underpaid my Income Tax contributes for the year .
You owe us £480 in backdated payments and we will recover it over a period of time .
PAYE and my Accounts are available for HMRC to check if necessary . so why this mess . Maybe they are squeezing the pips until there is nothing left .
Sometimes why do I bother to keep working any more .

I was paye all my working life and for 3 years they hounded me for back tax which they had cocked up in the first place and it did cause me some angst , the government to continue on this path of self destruction will look at all ways to keep money coming into the coffers and if it means screwing over the working man then they’ll do it . They’re driving out the millionaires who create the jobs to pay the wages and the taxes there after .

I've been employed in all my 49yrs of working and I had a letter from them that owed them back tax and they'd take it off me over a period of time, phoned them and asked why they made some excuse, so I said you need to speak with my employer not me, I followed that up with my employer, but never heard no more, I suspect that they took it off me over the time, but I've not really noticed.

4000+ currently waiting along the French coast for the next clear day to break into the country
So correct me if im wrong. These must be legally in France or they would be rounded up, under Burnham's proposal of freedom of movement they could just catch a ferry and settle in the UK?

All illegally in France, who are desperate to get rid of them. Hence, let them catch the next available dinghy. Problem solved!

Probably broadly correct, although the pro-immigration activists will say they are not illegal because they have a path to legal status. Most will probably be persons who could regularise their position by claiming asylum in France but have not applied. I suspect that some have applied but still want to come to the UK pending the outcome, some have applied and been rejected, and some have applied in other UK countries but moved on. Hard to see that Burnham's proposal will do anything but open the doors wider, and that many of the keenest movers will have a non-EU "heritage".

The govt sponsored people smuggling operation continues this weekend. NINE boats arrived yesterday carrying near 700 people. 3 more arrived on Thursday with 250-300 on board and many more are en route as we speak
