Would be a shame if it was a staged set-up.

Too many drivers get away with murder - literally, in some cases.

I have heard that there are some psycho cyclists out there who use customised weapons (bike pumps that turn into hammers etc.) to inflict damage to the cars of aggressive drivers. More of this, please. Free lessons should be given to all cyclists on how to f up the cars of violent, dangerous drivers.

Presumably then to avoid double standards, you'll agree that pedestrians should get Krav Maga lessons to f*ck up cyclists who go flying through red lights almost hitting pedestrians crossing?

Really?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

With the large amounts of cash available from YouTube when these videos go viral it's becoming very common to stage such events.
It's just a present day and a much more lucrative version of you've been framed it was obvious then that many of the videos sent in were "acted out".

Here is another obviously staged YouTube video

100% agree with that.

Bad cyclists should not be immune from instant & violent justice.

Now then, Krav Maga...never heard of that. Will google it now. It sounds great.

Walking from Morgans towards wind street around midday last Saturday when a cyclist went straight across the crossing at speed also heading towards Wind st thinking he saw a break in traffic although the lights were against him
a huge truck came around the bend also doing a fair speed from the west and missed him by a couple of feet blasting his horn and with no way of stopping.
If it had hit him the cyclist would have ended up in Parc Tawe.
Some real idiots out there and only time for some of them.

Cheers. Just looked at a few videos as well. Interesting stuff.

Though, of course, as with all these things, I fear that when it comes to real life situations I won't be able to translate any training I might have had into effective action!

Worth knowing about though.

Not a patch on Llapgoch.

"It is an ANCIENT Welsh ART based on a BRILLIANTLY simple I-D-E-A, which is a SECRET. The best form of DEFENCE is ATTACK (Clausewitz) and the most VITAL element of ATTACK is SURPRISE (Oscar HAMMERstein). Therefore, the BEST way to protect yourself AGAINST any ASSAILANT is to ATTACK him before he attacks YOU... Or BETTER... BEFORE the THOUGHT of doing so has EVEN OCCURRED TO HIM!!! SO YOU MAY BE ABLE TO RENDER YOUR ASSAILANT UNCONSCIOUS BEFORE he is EVEN aware of your very existence!"

It's all about real life situations and the simplest, most effective (often brutal) response. If Krav Maga doesn't prepare you then nothing will.

Even in the cycle LANE?

Don't be daft - they don't use the cycle lanes...

Seriously, there's one that runs the length of Priory Lane (past the famous Priory clinic). It's a very busy, narrow road that leads to Richmond Park and is a rat run to the A3 - hardly any cyclists use the cycle lane.

That cycle lane is on a pavement which is shared with walkers, dog walkers, mothers pushing prams etc. Just because its painted on a pavement does not mean its adequate or safe for road cyclists and pedestrians to both use.

The biggest problem facing Richmond park is the motorists who use it as a through road and clog it up.

Cyclist revenge on 11:55 - Feb 23 with 1649 viewsmacthejack

I'm always amazed that you can cycle on the roads without having to have undergone any kind of training or instruction.

That and being able to drive on a motorway without having any instruction on how to do so.

And of course no f*cker know the highway code, which would probably iron out a good chunk of the above 2 issues.

Arf! There's hardly any pedestrians on that stretch (plenty of room if there were) - it's basically a link between the South Circular and the A3/Richmond Park with The Priory and Bank of England Club inbetween and virtually bûgger all else. More cyclists than pedestrians use it anyway.

Are you one of those wänkers who ignore the speed limit in the park and ride two abreast while talking to your mate about your Lycra outfit with the go-faster stripes?

Or do you use it as a race track, like most of the Lycra louts?

Apologies if you're neither...
