Harry Arter on 19:10 - Aug 21 with 2245 views | Al_Bundy | If Arter had called "mine" or "leave it" the ref should have called it if heard it and the Watford player should have ignored it. Apparently, Arter used the code Watford use for someone to leave the ball on their own players.. got to admire that.

So he should be cautioned whether he shouted "mine/leave it" or "Sid/Jack" or whatever.

As an ex ref, I can confirm that the answer to that is 'yes'. Any verbal distraction in the judgement of the ref is unsporting behaviour and bookable. So if he went up behind him and said 'booo' just as he was about to shoot, which caused him to fluff it, out comes the yellow.

Apparently Watford use the call "sids" when someone is in a better position and wants the player to leave it.. for a player in a better position... What's the chances that Bournemouth use exactly the same code "sids" to leave the ball? 😂😂😂😂😂
