We done similiar last year with Mbodji. With Mbodji we agreed terms and fee and when it came to him coming over for a medical we decided not to answer the agents or Anderlechts calls.
Seems the club like to filter that they are trying hard but pulling out so they dont actually have to sign the player. No wonder Jenks has a bad rep in certain quarters. |  |

When Clucas was signed, I remember reading a Clement quote about his versatility and his ability to play left-back.

Clubs are able to sign players (do all the necessary paperwork) subject to a medical (the medical comes later and if he fails, he doesn't get formally signed).
So the fact he's in South America is not necessarily fatal to the deal.
