He has helped to totally transform our defence since his arrival. His contribution to our defensive organisation is immense.
We need to do all we can to keep this guy otherwise top teams such as Arsenal and Liverpool with defensive frailties may try to tempt him away.
Clement and Makelele seem an excellent team.

I think Nigel Gibbs does a lot of work with the defence.

Did we ever actually (officially) get rid of Paul Williams?

Indeed. Done a brilliant job
What we need now is an "offensive coach" to bring the best out of Ayew and Abraham, and get Wilf up to match fitness

If that is the case well done to Nigel Gibbs also.
Clearly a lot of very effective work has gone on behind the scenes organising a defence that last year was shipping goals for fun and was so low in confidence.Three away matches in the Premier League without conceding a goal is quite an achievement.
In football sort out the defence first.

And a dead ball specialist coach as well.

great thread - great username

makelele has given structure, technique and belief; no doubt instrumental in giving Leon his chance when we needed him most. Hoping for a long-term makelele-leon coaching axis

Bony will help build a potent attacking force - on the pitch and off it - a huge influence in so many ways

Claude did everything simply, he never made it difficult. Went five games for Chelsea without giving the ball away. Keep it simple, reap the rewards.

Imagine that game under Bradley, it would have been double figures.

Deserves all the plaudits based on yesterdays showing, my only concern is Olsen was being fleeced too many times yesterday and without a recognised LB in the wings it is a weakness, let's pray for no injures during the seasons?
We would cobble something together should it happen but for a Premiere league team is it acceptable?

A fully fit KB will help also.

There's always a risk that an "offensive" coach might upset some of the more sensitive flowers.

I found Bob Bradley's coaching offensive 😳

Could he have a word with Routs on the subject of keeping possession?

For the record and acknowledging Gibbs contributio, why are we attributing the defensive organisation to Claude, rather than to PC himself? Not arguing with it, but asking for a source

That game wouldn't have happened if we still had Bradley as we would be in the Championship playing at places like Burton Albion instead of Spurs at Wembley.

No source and merely an observation on my part. I have said (and it is just my opinion) that Clement and Makelele are an excellent partnership.
