One of the first names on team sheet at the moment.

Imagine the crowd reaction to the 50/50 win, hell of a thud.

Fully concur.

Wrote this in response to some poster's uninformed post:

""Not a great player" ? wtf ?

For the discerning eye, he's a highly talented player. A player's player of the year material. Not only does he do the unsung stuff with aplomb, he offers a massive go-forward with the way in which he links with Ayew on the 2nd phase ball."

Not imo.

Quite a few good players, several average ones but no great ones.

Quite agree.

Seem to have built a good championship squad though. Not enough goals in this team at the moment for a promotion push though in my honest opinion. My hope is we can stay in hunt until January and maybe pull off another Brewster type loan which could well be the difference.

Obviously a lot easier said than done though.

Brewster in this team, and we would definitely be challenging top 2

Im hoping gyokeres or even cullen get gametime as they both offer something different up front which can only help our cause

Oh ffs you were doing so well in forming your opinions, and then you reverted to type and fell behind the popular opinion.

Dr Winston clearly has some decent opinions at times but is overly negative, often posting stuff for popular opinion himself. There's a cycle, you must see it, most often as a lagard.

Fulton at this level is one of the best midfielders, a great player in this league and a more than great player for us.

Yes fulton is a good player but 'at this level one of the best midfielders' 🤣🤣🤣

If he was he would be starting EVERY game in front of grimes.

Now I know with this post you are a fool and you call my opinions, do me a favour Dad, go to bed and have a good kip please.

I will say that over the last few games I have seen a change in Fulton. He seems to have progressed from the dirty aggressive player if beaten on the grass to a more assured ball winning aggressive team player. May it long continue.

I was heartened by Kasey Palmers challenge on MacLean . It’s not often Stoke can look back and say “they was dirty”. Strength I depth and steel, something we’ve missed but may very well get us over the line this season.

One of the more notable side effects of the social media era is that balance has fallen by the wayside. Everything has to be either brilliant or shit. There can be no middle ground.

Here is a perfect case in point. A post I made which was actually quite positive about Fulton has been spun as one being critical because I dared to suggest that he wasn't great. It's barmy.

In any case I stand by every syllable. Fulton is not a "great" player in any interpretation of the word. He is however a thoroughly decent one who should have featured more than he has over the past eighteen months. Personally I'd drop Grimes in favour of him when MGW is fit.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Fulton is average. He did have a good game last night but great. Come on. Not consistent in having just good games either. He's better than smith though

Fulton has a "football brain" and reads the game better than any player we have had recently. Certainly no one else would have contrived a goal out of last night's opportunity.

I think Jay's seen Smith come into the team and thought "I'm better than him".

I really like Jay and have followed him closely since he joined us from Falkirk about 6 years ago. I think he's an intelligent footballer who really reads the game well. He isn't a ball-watcher, as some are. I was watching him (off of the ball) and he was constantly looking around for danger, assessing others' positions and looking extremely assured.

It's no surprise, to me, that Grimes put in a much better performance as Jay covers so much ground and lets Grimes get on the ball (in space) more. He's also one of the few dirty/tough players that we've got and is very strong in the air (in both boxes).

Strangely, Jay looked more assured on and off the ball than I've ever seen and I'm putting it down to his growing experience and realisation that he needs to visibly have more impact during his time on the pitch than he previously used to.

I hope he starts on Saturday.

Poll: Simple...would you want Leon in the squad right now, if he was available?

Palmer put McClean firmly back in his box. God, we've been crying out for that kind of controlled aggression for years. Not only was it symbolic but it also contributed to McClean being terrified to get another booking in the minutes that led to Palmer's goal. I've gone from being the jury's out on Palmer to being a fully paid up member of the fan club - more for the tackle than the goal. It is a massive positive influence on those around him.

As for Fulton - excellent, as he often is. He does have a tendency towards petulant fouls when he doesn't get his way but I forgive him that for his generally all round decent play and work rate. Shame he hasn't got an exotic name.

...and while we're at it, George Byers, not popular with some but a very good footballer who would thrive in a team that plays the way we did in the first half last night.

Fulton has been steadily improving over the last couple of seasons, he is maturing.
I agree that he is a better all round footballer than Smith...but we couldn't go into another season with only Jay as the DM option.
It is irrelevant whether Fulton or Smith is better.
This is a squad game these days in the Championship and we have our strongest squad since being relegated.
Smith pushes Fulton.
Manning will push Bidwell and Connor.
Latibeaudiere and Naughton will push Bennett, Cabango and Guehi.
etc.

We are just missing one more goal threat and we can push for automatic promotion IMO.

A post is only good or best of you agree .That is fact.

If you "like" that which a poster scribes then it follow he is a great poster and chap to boot.

Fulton is not a "great" player but he is very effective for us and underused a opposed to the truly staggeringly overated Grimes whose passing ,free kicks and corners are woeful .

Fulton has goals in him and has bottle ,something Grimes does not have so he'll do for me.

The best posts ,Eddie, are those which often go against the tide;if we all agree we'd be sunk.

BTW,Winston and I have had mutual contempt for over a decade but I'm glad both he and I are still alive to make each other sick .

Alistair Campbell was unavailable for comment

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Campbell's diaries are a good read.

Nice Andy Robbo still remembered.

He actually moved to Swansea where some posters clearly hate him .Ten years later.

A pity you have not watched the last couple of games because every free kick and corner he has taken has been right on the money. Plus his work rate never gets mentioned - the guy covers every single blade of grass week in - week out.
