Come on now the only reason he wins race after race is he has the best team and car, Vettol did the same before him how come Hamilton could not beat him if he is that great, luckily for Hamilton he has been able to stay with the best team with the best car for a longer period than those before him, not taking away the fact he is one of the best drivers but without the best car he would have one no where near the races he has won. | | | |

Notwithstanding the facts that A - The best drivers usually end up in the best cars anyway, and B - driver input is often one of the reasons the cars end up the best, much as Ferrari did under Schumacher. Almost exactly like that in fact. A year or two of planning and then dominance.
Ferrari have had a car capable of winning the Championship in two out of the last four seasons. They haven't done so because Hamilton has ruined Vettel.
The true mark of a drivers ability though is in the wet. A car's superiority means nothing if you can't keep it on the track. There's simply nobody in the current field able to touch him when the rain comes down. | |
