| Stoke boss fuming 23:59 - Mar 3 with 3332 views | KeithHaynes | I have to say, isn’t it about time after all the dodgy referee decisions over the years at Stoke 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Furious Stoke manager Michael O'Neill felt his side had been robbed of a point after a controversial injury-time penalty handed Swansea a 2-1 win at the Bet365 Stadium. Kyle Naughton went down in the box and referee David Webb adjudged that he had been tripped by Jack Clarke in the 94th minute, and Andre Ayew slotted the winner with virtually the last kick of the game. It boosted the Swan's automatic promotion hopes, after Connor Roberts had cancelled out Nick Powell's opener, but dented Stoke's fading play-off chances. O'Neill said: "It was an incorrect call in my opinion. It looked as though he tripped over his own leg, only he knows if he dived, but the assistant on that side didn't give it. It was down to the referee. "It's very frustrating because we are in an environment where there are no fans and teams are claiming for everything and putting officials under pressure and they need to be stronger. "If 20,000 fans are in the stadium tonight I can't see him giving that. I've watched it back three times and I can't see how the referee could say he is 100% certain. "It's disappointing. We hit the post and bar and the least we deserved was a point." An error from Marc Guehi gifted Stoke a sixth-minute lead when his pass was cut out by Steven Fletcher and Powell thumped his shot past the helpless Freddie Woodman. The visitors were level after 19 minutes when Ryan Manning's cross was volleyed home by Roberts from eight yards. Tommy Smith's vicious drive thumped a post just before the half-hour mark, while Manning was inches wide at the other end. With 49 minutes gone Fletcher hit the bar from close range and James Chester ballooned the loose ball over, while Angus Gunn made a great save to deny Roberts his second as Swans pushed towards the end. But the Welsh side's first win in Stoke in 20 years was confirmed with the late drama, as Ayew made it 11 for the campaign. Swansea manager Steve Cooper said: "I'll be honest I haven't seen it back on the TV but I thought it was a penalty at the time. It certainly looked a penalty to me. "You are hoping a winner will come and you never give up, you keep going and that's what happened. "We got our chance with the penalty at the end, we were passing our way up the pitch and we had our wide centre-backs getting in the box to try to create. We were just keeping going and doing what we do and in the end it paid off with the last kick of the game." | |

It’s a tough one, still can’t decide if I think it’s a penalty or not. I’d be disappointed if it was given against us I think. But Naughton didn’t dive is my point. The blame or praise regarding the decision is squarely on the ref and his interpretation of the contact. But contact there most certainly was and a dive it most certainly wasn’t. They sort of just crossed paths and tangled legs.

O’Neil surprisingly quiet about that blatant bit of cheating as well as several stole fouls going unpunished - whereas some of our clean an fair tackles were penalized. Last night confirmed to me just how much I never want to see Allen in a Swans shirt again.

| Stoke boss fuming on 07:33 - Mar 4 with 1680 views | Swans9 | It seems when we get a bad decision against us for example sterling dive in the cup in the 3 2 loss when the defender kicked it out for a corner it's never mentioned or the offside goal. We get a decision for a pen and to be fair how many pens should we have had over the years and haven't and it all over media. Swans were lucky last night we had 7 shots away from home Stoke had 2. | | | |

Last paragraph spot on, Naughton got on wrong side of defender and instead of leaving him go he run back with him which resulted in the leg tangle. It's a stonewaller I would have been fuming if we hadn't have got it.
| Stoke boss fuming on 09:32 - Mar 4 with 1524 views | A_Fans_Dad | From the front I would have said that Naughton would probably have fallen over anyway as he looked a bit off balance, but the contact was sufficient to make sure he went down. | | | |

Why? We have 13 other games, the Cardiff game won't define our season. 8 wins from 14 will just about do it imo

Also, they are on a fabulous run of form and Id like my team to be the one to stop them. That is why It's why we look for that fixture at the start of every season. That's why.

Had the contact with legs been the cause of the fall I don't think the ref would have given it, but as the defender came in behind him there was contact on his left side with Naughton and he then dragged his right arm across across Naughton's right arm. I think the three points of contact taken together gave the ref the impression it was deliberate and a foul. An earlier handball in the area by Stoke may also have been playing on his mind. The nobs calling Naughton diver and saying they don't like to win that way can sod off 40 miles down the M4 IMO.

That Clarke won about six or seven free kicks where there was little to no contact just by falling over Including one right on the edge of the box where they could have scored from. Incidentally the reaction of the Stoke players seemed like they thought it was a penalty too. There didn’t seem to be much in terms of protestations.

The pen for handball v Bristol City was dodgier than Naughton's. It was great to see one of our back 3 driving into Stoke's pen area in the 94th minute. All I felt when Ayew put the pen away ... Don't be coy.It s me and it is,Champ We are making the circumstances fit what we want to believe. We all know it was no penalty and if awarded to ,say,Cardiff in a play off, we would be less than pleaed BUT It's ok as Clarke was chucking himself to the ground, but not as well as AA, who spends as much time on the grass as more dopeheads. It s a time to be honest. Post whatever shyte you want on here to impress your fans but do not ever kid yourself as you will be living a lie .
