This was a scientifically conducted analysis with a very human a personal input. As we seem to be following the Americans regarding obesity this should be on every Parent's reading list.

I've banged that particualr drum a few times on here. I've long believed processed foods and the chemicals within are doing us serious harm. It's hard though when, as this study shows, the damage the foods are doing includes rewiring our brain to crave them more and we still crave them even if we stop eating them.

It's probably too late to change now. Most kids seem to exist on UPF.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

This is precisely why we have to be able to move to a position of living with this virus without the need for lockdown.

One of the few pleasures of the last year for many people has been take away food.

Add this to a lack of opportunity for exercise and we are staring down the barrel of another health catastrophe.

So you get tempted to take the jab by being offered a free donut, pint or mc donalds.

You couldn't make it up!!

The global elites don't want healthy people, big pharma don't make money from the healthy.

It's never been about health.

Yes, in the article posted earlier it outlines how obesity has increased dramatically to be a much bigger killer than smoking in the UK.

People consume more calories than they need. Too many are lazy.Kids are now virtually sedentary.Too right it's our biggest killer. Eating correctly is the way forward.
The majority are unaware or not'@rsed about how many they consume as long as it tastes good.

The irony is lots of foods being touted as healthy like plant milks, meat alternatives are highly processed in comparison to meat and dairy.

All processed and packed foods we get from supermarkets are clearly labelled wit the amount of calories they contain.

A little bit of care and diligence can help us understand how much calories we are consuming each day.It doesn't matter where the calories come from, if we eat too many we will put on weight

You assume people have the nous to read a label

We are simply a land where people look to pig out as cheap as possible. This applies also to our attitude to alcohol.

It is only the anti vaccine sect who claim vaccine deaths are under recorded. If you were correct deaths should be rising not falling to virtually zero every day.

When i wish to lose weight, i check out the packages for the calorie count. It's very easy then to make an assessment of how much to eat. I don't always get it right, but the principle is simple

How many "poor" do you see counting calories on goods.Half the time ,the information can hardly be seen by the naked eye.

When chaps have a night out,how many worry about the calorie count

You are of course correct, it is simple, unfortunately it is not easy.
If it was we would not be having such a big problem would we.

You are of course correct about the labels being too small to read. How many poor ppl can afford a big night out?
