In 2019 (not using 2020 for obvious reasons) 1223 people died of Flu in England and Wales. That is 3 a day. That was with no face covering or social distancing.
There were 786 deaths in the last week from covid in the UK with face coverings etc.
The elderly are obviously more vulnerable and my feeling is that eventually there will be some kind of "living with it" scenario with vaccines for focussed groups as the virus mutates. Just hoping that a real nasty mutation doesnt arise again. |  |

Exactly. You either shut everything down or you shut nothing down. These pointless actions are made just so they can be seen to be doing something. It’s not going to actually help anything. The covid pass thing was supposed to ensure that everyone in attendance at a game was either fully vaccinated or had a negative test. If that’s not good enough then we really don’t have any hope.
I’ve always been a generally cheerful, happy go lucky person. I’ve never held hate in my heart for anyone or anything in my life. But since this has all started I’ve developed a real anger bordering on hatred for all these politicians of all sides. I’ve done absolutely everything they have asked for nearly 2 years. I’ve followed all the rules, I’ve had all my jabs, I’ve actively cut down on contact with my parents and other family because they’re in the at risk age group or have other conditions.
