| Have you missed the swans and watching football ? on 10:09 - Jul 21 with 1194 views | Whiterockin | Yes really miss my weekly fix of meeting up with mates and watching the Swans live. The whole day, the anticipation, the event and the discussions after. I enjoy my summer sport but nothing compares to the football matches. In the summer I also miss my grandchildren with their age group football, supporting them and watching them develop over the years. Plus chatting to the coaches and scouts their take on how the game is developing now compared to before. They normally have an inside view on our players, their strengths, weaknesses and why sometimes why they are not being selected, its all fascinating and greatly missed during the summer break. | | | |
| Have you missed the swans and watching football ? on 10:49 - Jul 21 with 1165 views | Catullus | Though I don't often do International football I have watched some of the Womens Euro's. I watched quite a bit of last nights game and actually enjoyed it. These women aren't a bunch of preening, squealing, moaning siisy's as the men. The quality isn't there but the effort, desire and passion are. Sometimes it was like watching a local league game but I enjoyed it. it filled a gap. I am looking forward to the first home game though, I am keen to see the improvements! | |

I'm happy to have a summer break and do something else.

Guys a clown, was a clown before Keith took over and is still a clown to this day. Just takes a little scratch to see how poorly rated he is with so many fans and other posters both past and present. He's a state and he knows it.

Away matches are fantastic, my chance to have a few pints and meet mates and others. Didn't get to many away last season so hope to make up for it . Plus Wales games.

Sounds like your life mirrors mine , I have quite a few grandsons who all play at different levels from junior League to Welsh League but what with summer tournaments and friendlies there really isn't a break for me , I do manage to get to their games even if they have to take turns having my presence and driving here there and everywhere but it's great to see how the develop and grow into young men

Sounds good. Grassroots football should be encouraged more. Including adult football. For which there is a surprising appetite locally

As opposed to the Valleys of Wales where you said I lived? Silly boy As for the OP, not really. Last season was the worst I can remember. I don’t remember a more disappointing season in terms of a clear underperformance. I mean we have had worse seasons such as when we had the likes of Michael Howard and Jason Jones, but we were playing to our level then, performing as I’d expect such an awful team to. But we had fight and passion. Last season was a depressing watch. I’m hoping that it changes and he can swallow his pride and change it up this season, but the common sense in me suggests it’s probably more of the same.

Even if there is an almost inevitable change of personnel on the playing side over the next couple of weeks. Got a good feeling this is going to be an exciting season under Martin. COYS !!

Yes it’s good to watch , there are some good youngsters and teams out there , I’m off to Llanelli shortly to watch one of the boys in a friendly .The senior league though appears to be dying with just 3 leagues and no Sunday football at all which is sad , there appears to be drive towards academy football which if managed properly will raise the players technical ability, rather than kick and rush you’ll see a better standard of games played .

| Have you missed the swans and watching football ? on 08:12 - Jul 23 with 742 views | Dr_Winston | No. I love my football, but I also like having a break from it. It's nice to have a run of Saturdays where I can go off and do other things instead of go to a game or wonder if I can find a stream. | |

It's weird. I don't really miss it and the start of the season often comes around too quickly for me, but once I'm in the ground for the first home game the buzz comes back soon enough.
