A victory for those who spoke out against this nonsense. Fully behind a more appropriate initiative - as I’m sure almost everyone else will be, as long as there is merit to it and a demonstrably provable cause of course.

People didn't renew STs because our players kneel for a few seconds before kickoff??!!

A lot of sporting franchises saw a massive decline in viewing numbers as soon as they started doing the BLM affiliated stuff. It’s a trend seen across the globe.

People don’t like the false virtue signalling. The NBA was hardest hit by the viewing figure crash, and they went the hardest for BLM than any other sport. People see it for a hypocritical and poisonous stance. Completely toxic.

The only people to get that annoyed by it are going to be racists. Most people don't care.

If people seriously didnt go to games because players knelt for 1 or 2 seconds they have some serious issues. I didn't see Zaha refusing to enter the ground if his teammates knelt?

You said anyone who was annoyed by it. People show their annoyance in various ways. Some will boo, some will yell, some won’t attend, some will silently roll their eyes. There are plenty of people who can’t stand this nonsense who aren’t racist in the slightest. Many of which are black themselves. Lyle Taylor is another who went into great detail why he cannot stand the knee and BLM as an organisation.

If you were observant enough you would've noticed that it was in reference to people not buying season tickets due to kneeling. I've realised i already have replied to you by mistake, i will not respond further.

If you were articulate you would have stated that, not changed it to suit. As for Zaha I’m pretty sure if he wasn’t getting 100k a week he wouldn’t go either. I agree, unless you are willing to debate intelligently then replying to me is absolutely a mistake because I don’t tolerate nonsense. Remember that in the future please, will save us both some time. It annoyed me and I do not consider myself racist. This is the point and the thing that got me annoyed. BLM had huge traction and put out the challenge 'support us or get called a racist'. I do not support BLM and can live being called a racist as i know it is untrue and a fake narrative. I was shocked to see Swansea city dance to the narrative of a foreign left leaning action group by parading the BLM logo and whole squad kneeling at Fairwood on the Facebook page. Mr Birch did not perform well and had done no due diligence on this organization whatsoever it seems. He and the FA had to change horse mid river after they discovered more details on this organisation. They covered their tracks and keep thing under control they simple repackage the gesture as nothing to do with BLM. Some PR executive worked out a bit of corporate inclusivity speak. Job done It was not just taking the knee as many players used the 'Black Power' clenched fist gesture at the same time which cause a furore in the 1968 Olympics. Clenched fist can mean many thing to many people. In south America is is hard line socialism. A Turkish footballer took the opportunity to do a gesture known to signify far right Turkish views related to the suppression of Kurdish minorities. He claimed it was a misinterpretation. In general all these team things are OK as long as it is an individual choice and non contributors are not abused of being indifferent not caring or anti the message. The gesture is a message to the fans apparently. The fans have stated to the players 'we have got the message' move on. Swansea city and Wales has its own home grown issue and this is the baiting of proud Welsh people like me who find sheep themed abuse puerile and sad. Gerwyn Price and his family have been brought close to tears and has been a harrassed by baying drunks in England and Scotland actually. In a crowd of 5000 it is a laugh. One on one with the family it is offensive and threatening. Welsh / Swansea fans sing racist songs to the tune of English taunts. It is a taunt so obscene that you have to laugh or cry. I cringe others giggle. Other chants of the same ilk include taunts against Black people which were acceptable in the 1970s not any more. The sheep stuff faces the same fate simply by evolution. Swansea city football club will have to deal with it eventually as it is not aligned with the clubs family culture. [Post edited 29 Jul 2022 12:29]

My response was to someone who questioned that people gave up their tickets due to this. Did it annoy you that much?

So you are happy fo recognise a vast amount of people are getting annoyed by this thing. Yet anyone who refuses to go as a result of their annoyance is a racist? Odd.
