The Birmingham games cost £800 million that would work out at £250 per person in Wales which I am sure everyone would be willing to play.

In 1958 only 35 countries entered and only 9 sports were played.

Unpopular opinion but this event should be slowly phased out now, as the commonwealth slowly disintegrates and the values held by a significant number of competing nations are less than unpleasant to say the least.

What is public funding? I'm not saying Council tax paid for everything.

But I listened last week to the leader of Birmingham Council, and he mentioned that residents would benefit from an increase in their tax.

Brum relied heavily on the NEC, they had 7 sports in there.

The only venue they built was for swimming, I don't think our Sketty Lane facility would be big enough by the way
