She gave up her HRH titles, she presented the Wimbledon tennis trophies for years gave it up apparently when they would not allow her to take a 12 year old orphan (who was not a royal) into the royal box to watch the tennis.
I seem to remember something about her being the first royal to convert to been a Roman Catholic for about 300 years (can't be arsed to check), stories about her health mental and physical may have something to do with her not attending and she is getting on in age, she went to work in a school where apparently only the headmaster knew who she was.
Why no comment from the Palace why she was not there...?

I would like to see, if a parent is in-line, then their children should get a title... so that would be the Queens children, now the Kings children, then William's children but no titles for the children of spares, like Andreews & the Markles.

She didn't go to the Queens funeral, now it might be an age/illness thing but if so you would have thought the Palace would say as that would be a legitimate reason, but apparently nothing from the Palace as regards the Duchess - if that is the case very odd. | |
