| Everything Russell Martin said post QPR ‘Balls out & Brave’ on 09:47 - Jan 22 with 1343 views | STID2017 | Yesterday was another frustrating day for the fans, especially those that travelled to see the game. Instead of showing the attacking intent from beginning to end, after a bright start we once again reverted to a pattern of passing it mostly in and around our own half. Piroe once again is a brilliant striker who looked starved of the ball. The introduction of Ntcham and Cundle at least got us pushing forward and both did well. Plus apart from one scare, Andy Fisher did well. We certainly deserved a draw, which I felt was a fair result. Also it was a cracking goal from Fulton. Great also to see Lowe acknowledge the Swans fans which was reciprocated. Sad to see Ethan Laird ho off injured as he was playing well. Wish the lad a speedy recovery. The likely loss of Whittaker to the bright lights of Glasgow is a shame as he could well be the missing link. However if it is to be then let's hope any transfer business is concluded quickly, rather than left to the last day of the window, and we can push on to get ourselves an easily attainable play off place. "reverted to a pattern of passing it mostly in and around our own half. That was down to QPR just sitting back and parking the bus , its our biggest downfall "Piroe once again is a brilliant striker who looked starved of the ball." sadly he looks slow and off form, but then again with what we seem to see happening with players atm its maybe expected "The introduction of Ntcham and Cundle at least got us pushing forward and both did well." We have a few players who are unable to give us 90 mins play, anther of our drawbacks sadly. | | | |

QPR sussed us out after about 15 minutes, they then pressed forward a little further because they knew we have no pace which forced us into mistakes at the back and in the middle which in turn gave them more chances. It was only when cundle and especially ntcham came on it gave us forward momentum, as I said yesterday we need pacey attacking players to help the isolated piroe out.

Most managers should be able to suss us out before a ball is kicked. Maybe pacy attacking players do not have what is needed/requires by Martin.

Before a ball is kicked? That's on paper penc, teams train for possibilities, as I've said as the game wore on QPRs press got further forward as they realised they could do because we have no pace anywhere on the pitch. Maybe the players we had with pace ie oko weren't martins choices and the club won't give him the players he wants. Imo whatever system we play we will struggle because we don't have fast players to keep defenders on the backfoot.

Come on mate we are one of the most predictable teams to play against in this division. We only change when we fall behind.

“ We only change when we fall behind “ And that has to be viewed as a positive. The manager is pro active. Always prepared to make changes if/when we do go behind by changing personnel and / or shape. You surely can see that must be applauded. We have one of the best records in the division for being able to retrieve situations.

I’d rather we started on the front foot personally. We’d probably be in a far better position than we currently are. All about opinions 👠

All any opposing team has to do is to organise, defend as a unit and simply wait for chances ,which we provide them with . It is a common theme. We can rip teams to pieces and yet we continue to show fragility in defence. Fisher's almost laughable faux pas yesterday should have seen QPR secure the 3 points. No coach should stand for such stupidity as it kills all the good work of the others. If Benda s injury is significant a goalkeeper should be our priority a we cannot afford Fisher .

I actually think we should get a goalkeeper in to replace the both of them.

Probably the first time we agreed inn15 yes Moment to treasure Benda has been made to look good by the sheer vacuum that is Fisher Its crucial we bring in loan if Benda is buggered We can forget the rest as we play the same no matter who is picked

Any manager that hasn't sussed out how to play us, isn't much of a manager. As has already been said, we are the most predictable team in the championship, and probably the most boring to watch.

It's been fairly obvious recently that a midfield of Grimes, Allen and Fulton is lacks creative energy. Personally I'd swap Oli for Grimes, let Allen do the Grimes role (which he'd obviously be much better at) and push Ntcham further forward. Oli might not manage a 98% pass completion rate but he'd make a lot more happen.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Grimes will never be dropped whilst Martin is the gaffer. Ntcham would be in my starting line up every week, very good player.

After watching yesterday grimes, fulton and allen should not play together. Either cundle or ntcham should play instead of either joe or grimes, fulton would be in my starting 11 every game. If I may say that joey was poor yesterday, he just wasn't at the races, he gave the ball away more often than I've ever seen, I hope it's a one off.

JA is well past his best . I would have him in the team as captain however before Grimes who could only dream of being the player Joe was .
