Right behind Leighton's curler watching it heading for the top corner
We were closer to the corner flag, but had a similar view, I think there were a few ( 20 or so ) supporters of another team, possibly Blackburn, not PNE close to the away end in the home stand. I’m on the fence at the end with a few others cheering along.
A chapter devoted to our escapades that weekend in my first book released in 1999.
No need to plug it now 😂
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
Crazy day. For some reason I had to uy a ticket with a bus journey. Drove down to Swansea from West Midlands to get a bus that passed within three miles of where I was living. Then reverse the retur. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

Well. Let's assume the distance from the right hand post to the corner flag was 18yds + 15yds = 33yds (ish). Two thirds of that is 22yds (ish). Were we all 22yds from the right hand post? If so then the answer to your question is yes.

They were Blackburn fan's wanting Preston to win. Blackburn were away to Bristol Rovers, from memory, remember listening to an on the pitch interview with their player manager Howard Kendall as we were leaving Preston.
We were just out of camera shot.

Odd decision to make by Blackburn fans, didn’t they have cars up there in 1981 ?
We got home on Monday. Straight into the pub in Builth, as Mondays were market days, and the pubs were allowed to open all day.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Behind the goals perfect view of Leighton’s curler.
Left Swansea Dragon hotel (Griffin bar) at midnight on Friday. Breakfast & kick about on Blackpool beach before the pubs opened. Back to Blackpool after the match for a raucous night out. Too knackered to make the parade & open top bus to the Guildhall on the Sunday

A memorable day. I was standing if I recall correctly roughly in line with the edge of the penalty area at that end of the pitch opposite the dug outs. Most Swans fans of the 10,000 est there were behind the goal. Great days indeed. Then replicated in 2011 although nothing can or will ever beat the Toshack days.
Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day
