Their silence has been a major disappointment for myself, it's not really acceptable this day in age.
I think a summer of lack of proactivity especially early in and given the disappointment if January could really see then knife being twisted again.
I have said it for months now, the top need to be proactive because it's just creating a bad feeling below them......highlighted with the post above in regards to Martin getting his excuses in early, totally oblivious to the bigger picture here. | |

Was January so bad, we knew we needed a few additions but they had to be the right personnel, some would have taken anyone just to make them feel like we were progressing, by luck or by judgement, the club held out and believed in the talent we already had in the squad.
If one or two go this summer, I'd expect to see incoming too but I'd also like to think our youngsters will get a shot too. | | | |

Then there were howls from some quarters that, Martin having lost Obafemi (through mismanagement), we were weak up front so we needed to spend. Delap, Ogbene, Gelhardt were all proposed and some fans had a go at the owners for nor splurging funds to bring one or more in.
Instead we were left with the highly rated (elsewhere) Whittaker, who Martin refuses to trust and Cullen.
Whose judgement had prevailed ?
Delap 0 goals in 527 minutes
Ogbene 2 goals in 1455 minutes
Gelhard 3 goals in 1063 minutes
Cullen 5 goals in 819 minutes
Should we have bought in defenders or midfield?
What I have seen is our defence being solid and midfield mobile once Martin had got over not being given cash. A team doesn’t go from leaking 3.33 goals per game (3 losses in early Feb) to just 1 per game in the following 13 if the players are poor.
This squad, this season should be in the play offs. That we aren’t is not the owners fault.
Do we want a stronger squad?

I could be wrong Magic but i think he could see what was on the horizen and when the spurs job came up he left , and who could blame him when our owners not all could not be bothered to get to an arranged meeting in the states when he went over, anyway thats in the past,but if true these reports only create an upsetting situation which we should be used to they have a track proven record for it, a pity as if they sorted themselfves out and kept their word EVERYONE would be happy and i think the club would go upwards am wondering if they have a hidden agenda as all their sports things seem to have some sort of problem with them ( owners) | | | |

It’s April.
The owners can do very little on the transfer front until the window opens. Prior to that happening the transfer pro activity should be done by the day to day football side of the business, the likes of Russ and his team identifying targets.
Sadly Russ is throwing out some more red herrings like he did in January that caused the club so much grief.
His managing of the team is extremely questionable, his management of the club in the media is horrendous. But it has a purpose, he loves an early excuse does our Russ.
In the meantime…
