Wonderful, overdue, stunning, I could go on and on. Probably stunned sums it up the best, that we played so well (2nd half) outplayed your midfield which for a change looked non existent, but mostly stunned that for once you didn’t show up with that desire and aggression.

I wouldn’t go as far as wonderful or stunning from your point of view. Overdue certainly. I’d chuck relief in there as well.

We’ve been awful all season, last night was no different apart from the stakes were higher and the players looked a bit like they were starting to lose faith. Most Championship teams would have beaten us.

It’s a good point about the desire and aggression. I can’t remember exactly what Duff said, but it was along the lines of the effort being there but the quality lacking. I’m not sure I agree. I didn’t see it as a particularly gutsy performance where we really deserved to be praised for our effort at all.
