Night in for me.
When we lived in the uk it all went south when our local pub charged a tenner to have a pint on NYE. It’s closed now. Used to go to New Years Day races at Cheltenham, not that populated, a great day out, if anyone knows what a hogi is they know.
Bet on course for each race. Had some superb wins. Good memories. And it was a tenner to get in 😂

Yep I hated pubs charging to get in on New Year's Eve. We will probably have a couple in the pub in the afternoon. Then takeaway curry. Wife will watch TV and I will go in my conservatory and have some quality time with some first class music. Bed by 10 ish. Rock n bloody Roll! | | | |

Night in for me too, we’ll probably have a take away, chill and go to bed early. I’ve never enjoyed NYE, not even when I was single.
NYE used to be massive but its all changed and I think the Millennium NYE is partly responsible. Lots of pubs and clubs etc got really greedy and tried to charge extortionate amounts to get a beer etc, etc. Punters decided enough was enough and voted with their feet and things went downhill from there. There was a time I used to have to work NYE and I hated it, drunks and dealing with people at their worst. Best off out of it. | | | |

I was so gullible I thought Jools Holland was being performed live on NYE until I found out is pre recorded beforehand , great editing skills necessary to make it watchable , I gave up after finding this info out , pity but reasons why they cannot broadcast it live in hindsight .
Covid and rightly Social Distancing stopped from going to my local haunts , never been back since , could not be bothered anymore . My local Village boozers are closing down now .
Will stay awake , I hope to see the New Year in , few text messages to friends and family .
