Newcastle long but great trip 18:06 - Apr 10 with 2574 viewsDICKIETAPISAJACK

It cud be bye bye to the geordies. Gotta say very long but great trip. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't been. Great welcome, brilliant stadium, fantastic night out.
, & in Prem Lge we never lose! (Touch wood) rather them then is, but one of the best away trips you can get. Gutted for them if they go down. (except that tosser Shelvey of course)

Happy Days :-)

I forsee JJ having a blinder, except for one bad tackle on a Swans player

Shelvey's their captain.
Ashley's their owner.
They've got "Wonga" on their shirts.

They deserve to go down.

I agree, everyone knows that sub prime money lending is the realm of gangsters and criminals preying on the vulnerable. We don't need legal and regulated companies doing it.

If your Credit Union won't touch you, go to your local gangster!

Always had a great night out in Newcastle (and in Sunderland). Warm friendly welcomes from both sets of locals, safe nights out, decent and plentiful beer followed by chips and gravy to die for. Sad to think there's very likely no away days to the Toon & Mackams for the foreseeable future. Looking at the top of the championship, which away days do you hope replace them? Not heard anything about the likely quality of away days in Burmley or Middlesbrough but neither appeal to me as much as the Toon & Mackams away.

I would 'lov it' if we smashed them 0-3 and someone did a celebration pointing at the other players to imitate Shelvey.

Brighton is a decent night out if they come up.

Only in Swansea Al, unless you want to wake up with a sore bottom.

Really looking forward to this.

Did anyone notice the uncanny resemblance of the first half last year to the game the year before?

Newcastle 1-0 after 20 or so, 1-1 just before half time with a clever headed goal. Both at same ends.

Path diverged in second half fortunately but I won't forget that ref posting to he spot for the Bony penalty 2 yrs ago, just in front of us (we were in the lower stand) for a very long time.

Used to love going down there, about less that an hour for me. Lunch in the sausage pub by the station then into the Lanes and lots of Harvey's.

We weren't doing much around the goal, nobody wanted to shoot, until Marvin came on with about 8 minutes to go and his direct approach got the pen. Didn't that secure our safety ? Enjoyable drive home.

I would be amazed if both Shelvey and Siggy were still on the pitch at the end of the game.
