14 players got on the pitch against Southampton on the opening day last season. 26 players appeared in the PL for us over the whole season. We also have an extra 8 league games to play in the Championship.
So not sure the fact that none of the players leaving played in our solitary game so far can be used to defend the situation that seems to be developing. |  |

Yup. The window for Championship clubs to bring in players doesn't close until the end of this month.
U23s players being used as backup when we're short is how the academy is supposed to work. They won't magically become first team players without being involved in first team football. | | | |

That's where the worry is, how many of them players who took part in ONE game, matters not one bit. Not even your that thick. It's a 46 game season just in the league.

The situation doesn’t need defending. It’s self evident.
We have been relegated, we need to cut the costs. People need to wake up and smell the coffee.
We have more than enough quality to be competitive in this league. Fernandez apart, we are selling players unlikely to be in the plans of Potter this season.
We have ginger fella coming in, Rangers right back and King. With the loan market open for a CB and possibly a striker.

I'm broadly in agreement with your posts about our transfer policy. We haven't got a pot to piss in and high earners need to be shipped out to start balancing the books, even if they're going on loan or for cheap fees, leaving little money for replacements.
I also don't blame people for losing their sh*t somewhat over it. No matter how necessary it may be, doesn't stop it being incredibly frustrating. Frustration added to by those being responsible for us being in this position still being in their jobs despite their abject failings. | |

We have just sold players needed to be sold that were not in first team plans, we can then look at our options who to bring in. The loan window is open for another 3 weeks, we have no different starting 11 and active subs than last week other than Fernández. | |
