First game 1976 Swansea City 0-3 Cardiff City. Welsh cup tie at the Vetch. They threw metal stars at our players.
Last game 2019 Swansea City 1-0 Cardiff City Neil Warnock stated how quiet our fans were and hoped Cardiff fans would be louder in the return fixture! Kudos to him for that, we know what he really meant!
Little known fact: They ended up in the sea not once but twice. The second time being on an Easter bank holiday Monday after a confrontation outside the Guildhall.
So many memories on and off the pitch.

April 1984 a very warm Easter weekend 2-0 down at half time and we came back and won 3-2 amazing with a goal from Walsh and 2 goals from a certain Dean Saunders. The whole day was a massive buzz from the morning to early evening. the crowd was about 10,000 but it felt like 50,000 some cardiff fans invaded the pitch just before the start and about 100 +of them run over to the North Bank with a handful of them actually jumped over the fence down onto the North Bank expecting the rest to follow which they didn't oh dear!!. Fair play to them for coming around to the back of the North Bank after the game and from then on wards it just spread around the City for hours. I always remember on Fabian Way on the way home passing a red transit van with cardiff fans inside all laughing with relief by the look of it, they had no windows and their windscreen wipers pointing directly up to the sky! lol kids today haven't got a clue what they missed, the 1980's what a crazy decade and a great time to be young even though everyone was skint
My first Welsh away derby was a day before my birthday in 1965. What a birthday present ...
Cardiff 5 v 0 Swansea Town.
That day the goals were scored by 2 Swansea born greats ... Ivor Allchurch (3) and John Charles (2). This result helped relegate us a few weeks later from the old Division 2 (Championship).
My second away derby was almost 12 months later and what a match!!
It was a Welsh Cup replay and we were 3-0 down in the 2nd half when Cardiff's Don Murray was sent off for butting Jimmy McLaughlin.
Keith Todd scored 2 goals and then Herbie scored the equaliser to take us to extra time. Brian Evans and Jimmy McLaughlin scored 2 goals in extra time to make the final score ...
Cardiff 3 v 5 Swansea Town 😂😂😂
Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

My all time favourite and first Welsh derby

I remember that game well, I even think it was referenced in Simmo’s book as a lesson for them after the game. Bit like Abbandonato, if you continually believe your own press it comes back and seriously bites you 😂
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Worst cardiff game was away January 1986 freight rover trophy even though we won 0-2 but it was freezing cold with sleet all night crowd of about 1,000 with only about 50-60 Swans fans. Police didn't want to escort us back in the cold so we were all taken back to cardiff central in the riot vans

That was one of my favourites
Did McFarland score that day?
