I'm not really not sure exactly what he brings to the team , dead ball ? other than that I think he's carried .

And our worst run of performances all season which has lead us to here...we played better when he went off. Anyone disagree with that?

I wouldn’t with the loan fee we paid and wages we are covering
| Hourihane on 20:00 - Mar 20 with 2279 views | Dr_Parnassus | It’s strange the “most likely to score” argument doesn’t get made for Hourihane. I agree however that he shouldn’t start regardless of being one of our most likely sources for a goal, because we lose out elsewhere. It’s just odd that doesn’t seem to apply anywhere else. | |

He had done his hamstring. Saw it in his face the second he went for that challenge.

He hits the target most times he shoots. Very good dead balls. Has put in more decent corners in a handful of games than Grimes has done all his career. Looks lazy, needs to up his work rate. But not a bad player overall. Villa fans rate him highly.

Just a different opinion to yours. We've struggled for form since he's come into the 11.

So you disagree that Connor wouldn’t of done better with the chances that fell to Dhanda & Smith? Smith I can live with he offers a bit of dog Dhanda is a complete & utter waste of a shirt.

At least Hourihane is actually an attacking midfield player. The fact that we regularly have Korey Smith as our most advanced midfield player when he is very obviously: a) Not an attack minded player or b) Shall we say, er... not technically our most gifted player. is immensely frustrating. He's a defensive midfield player, as evidenced by his nearly non-existent goal scoring record over the years. He isn't somebody you want on the ball in or around the opposition's box.

I agree he would have done better with those 2 chances and also Ayew's free kick, I just think we seem a poorer side with him in it which is unfortunate as he has a wand of a left foot.

I’m unsure if we have our wires crossed but I’d have Hourihane on the pitch over both Dhanda & Smith. Dhanda is a national league player at best, Smith is decent but offers no attacking threat.

I'm still 50/50 on Hourihane. Certainly doesn't have the work rate and has been guilty of some sloppy play at times, but he's technically decent and carries a goal threat. As a 10 I'd start Hourihane ahead of Dhanda or Smith.

How can anyone be 50/50 The boy can’t/won’t run. He’s a very, very poor footballer with a half decent set piece. Smith/grimes/Fulton I can’t see how it’s even a debate

When you watch back the game tell me if the chances both Smith & Dhanda (not worthy of a jersey) missed would not of been executed by Hourihane.

The point you’re missing is we wouldn’t have had half as many chances had he been on the pitch. Cardiff were the better team until he went off.
