That's another modern trait. If a small percentage complain something can get banned, it doesn't matter if 28% agreed with it and the other 70% didn't care either way.

I would ideally replace with an elected President. What it would save us from would be the grotesque old Empire attitudes of pomp and excess. Gold carriages these days are not necessary.
If tourists want to visit,then they could be wheeled out accordingly.
Or simply radically alter our monarchy. No more displays of ermine and pearls ,no more sickening stories of minor royals feeling shat on because they married a wrong un.

I agree that outside of the Queen, Prince Charles & his children & grandchildren the others shouldn't be given the time of day, although a lot of charities & good causes will probably disagree.
