| Cooper - The saddest Indictment 19:17 - Apr 5 with 1543 views | 9MilesHigh | Football, especially over a season is all about building partnerships, units and chemistry. And we have had virtually none all season. As frustrating as the negative play and overstocking us with defensive minded players was in the early part of the season, at least Matty, Smith and Jay had built up some in the middle of the park. We were always a team that preferred to spoil games even then but at least they had worked their way into the season and got to know each other's games. But short of that we've had nothing. * There is no discernible style of football. * There is no chemistry. * We play like strangers. Whenever the ball ends up with our full back or centre half, freeze frame it. Have a look what's on for Roberts, Manning, Guehi or even Matty when he's come back to try and kick start a move. Our midfield is so wide apart and we are getting pressed back to the goalkeeper as that's our ONLY option. The inevitable punt upfield ensues and a hopeless aerial challenge later and we've conceded possession again. Even the very worst teams in this league are capable of squeezing the life out of us high up the pitch and the law of averages states that if we aren't able to get past this press then we'll spend more of every game in our own half. Whenever we do manage to get out, a lung busting run from Lowe, or more often than not, some hoof over the top, we can look decent in the final third, especially with Whittaker if he can get more games under his belt and get more confident. But how do we get up there in the first place when Cooper orders his players to not form partnerships units and build up the chemistry. It's as clear now as it will ever be, Cooper cannot coach this into a team. So the sooner he goes the better. If the Americans gamble here there could be a huge prize with very little downside. Because if Cooper stays it's game over. | | | | |

Because for whatever reason it’s common for a new manager bounce, fresh ideas, new face around training ground. Toshack would be perfect short term as he would know many of the players here. Summer then we reevaluate. Ayew’s wages off the books it should help us bring two or three decent players in and hopefully reinvest some of the money I think we will get for Roberts, it’s a decent canvas to start on for new manager.

You think nobody would take a job for a team sat 4th in the championship? I’ve stuck up for Cooper but he needs to go now otherwise we won’t be making the play offs. We’ve been shite since Christmas.

Correct. He is flogging an dead horse and has been for some time. It is a sport science issue. I am surprised this meltdown has been allowed to happen to be honest. The trajectory cannot be changed with these players. Its too late. I could be time for Brandon Cooper, Ollie Cooper, Latibeaudiere and Cullen (once fit) to add some youth full zest to the team Is Freeman totally unplayable?

Somebody would take the job but would we want them? We'd put a caretaker in while we chose and you shouldn't make such a choice too quickly. A knee jerk appointment will only make things worse. No, we should see out the season with Cooper but start the search now. This new manager bounce thing has been shown to be largely a myth anyway.

| Cooper - The saddest Indictment on 21:11 - Apr 5 with 1165 views | LittleEnglandJack | Speaking of partnerships, there is absolutely zero chemistry between Ayew and Lowe despite the fact that they've played some 40 odd games together. Even when they were both playing well I remember noticing just how little they passed to each other, and others commented on it at the time suggesting they didn't get on. I'd be surprised if one has layed on a goal for the other all season, which should be ringing some alarm bells really- and helps explain why we've been so goal shy all season. | | | |

Ayew as always been an enigma, he's his own man, he doesn't do partnerships yes he's done well for us, but teams have more than sussed us out so his effectiveness is null and void for the most part now.

No team with Ayew dropping into midfield is ever going to be a creative passing side. He's good at dribbling around in a circle and winning free kicks. A 10 he isn't. A winger he isn't. When he's fit and hungry he's shown he can hold the ball and get us playing higher up the pitch (essential last season when Brewster couldn't do any of that donkey work) but he hasn't shown the legs for it since maybe mid-December. Would Cooper have dropped Ayew if he'd been allowed to sign a "proper 9"? Hard to picture.
| Cooper - The saddest Indictment on 09:56 - Apr 6 with 838 views | onehunglow | No team can really go a full season without a recognised striker. It's that simple | |

| Cooper - The saddest Indictment on 10:55 - Apr 6 with 789 views | magicdaps10 | 100% agree with you... If you and I agree then it's a must in my eyes. This is not just a dip in form this is a manager who needs gone. Pointless waiting for a change or giving it a chance.... Clear as day it's not going to get any better from here on in. He won't be gone before the seasons end but once that final ball is kicked then we need to act quick, time should be used now to search and get the next appointment as best as we can get it. | |

| Cooper - The saddest Indictment on 12:31 - Apr 6 with 738 views | Badlands | I'd get Ayew and Routledge to take over day to day training and tactic immediately (if Rangel or Toshack would come in for a few games I’d be happy with that too) Experience, leadership, dedication and determination. Let them have the rest of the season and Stevie Wonder can take gardening leave. The one this I don’t want to see is Cooper given more time to damage this squad. | |

Hmm. Frankly Routledge main skill is first touch-how to pas a ball straight to opponent.Ayew,to imply run all over the place, sticking him thumb up when he fliffs up or when he falls down looking for a free kick.
