Stop buying things from Amazon. Every time you make a purchase you are putting small businessmen out of business and creating a future where you depend on Amazon as it will call the shots.
Amazon did not turn a profit for decades. It was bankrolled by billionaires via Wall Street as it carefully constructed a monopoly...the people it put out of business couldn't afford to turn a massive loss every year.
During this pandemic they have turned a massive profit as their competitors were hamstrung by their own governments...Jeff Bezos interfered in the US election and is buying up media to pump out propaganda. This is Fascism folks. The criminal mobs of the Left and big business, it is an attack on the middle class (who would otherwise remove the ruling elites who have so spectacularly failed over decades).

It’s capitalism - the thing you love the most. Very ironic
So do most people, even if they claim the opposite.
You can usually see then sipping on a brand coffee or with iPhone in hand blissfully unaware that capitalism brought them those luxuries they choose to buy.
Has socialism worked anywhere? Any examples of countries and their people thriving from socialism? If so, where?
Can’t think of any.
Swansea Independent Poster of the Year 2021 and 2022.
We are all hypocrites. Amazon was a life aver, almost literally, during lockdown. Maybe local businesses should give a fark about how they interact with customers.

Too many have not given a monkey's until covid.
Not my experience.
Local businesses Vs Amazon is like Port Talbot vs Real Madrid (only Real Madrid has bought the ref, and all the suits who run UEFA, and Port Talbot are forced to play uphill).

Monopolies are not good.
Hi K. Not in all cases but still, many are still apathetic to potential customers. Amazon is quick and efficient and if living in a rural idyll, perfect for obtaining just about anything.
I do accept it is a big problem though.
Anyway,a I say, good to see you back. You seem to have taken to the fireboy though.
Amazon isn't a monopoly. There's nothing that I can buy on Amazon (other than their own brand devices) that I can't buy either from another online retailer or via the traditional bricks and mortar method.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
Do you support local businesses when you can get virtually everything cheaper, more conveniently and in most cases with a vast array of options online?
I do both, but admit that during the last 12 months, Amazon has been a god send.
Not forgetting they employ 1000 or so permanently in Swansea and took on plenty of furloughed/recently redundant workers during the pandemic.
I will continue buying locally, but I’d be a hypocrite to hammer Amazon. Purely from a consumer point of view, they are first class.
It also allows small businesses to sell through them without the crippling costs that incur running your own premises, I know a few that run from their garages and lock ups. Have you seen the rent charged on small retail premises on Woodfield Street in Morriston for example, extremely prohibitive.
I would imagine a poor person or family buy from Amazon because they can get stuff a lot cheaper then what small businesses sell for, and you are telling them not to,
Except Amazon returned its first profit in 2003. It began operation in 1995. I make that no more than eight years. Not decades. There are many reasons not to buy from Amazon but that it run by lefties is laughable.
I would suggest you watch this documentary before forming any opinions on Amazon...

Wish I had Jeff Bezos’s foresight
As for you, I'll take you seriously when you can answer whether the article in 'Time' magazine admitting interference in the US election is a "conspiracy theory" ( or not.
Swim Away.

Still stinking the place out then?
Gave you an answer-not interested in the Time article. This has gone round ad nauseam for months. Be like going back to the ‘hanging Chad’ of 2000 soon enough.
Clearly you are embarrassed that your ‘decades’ of Wall Street support for a non-profitable company was shown up as a patent lie.

I'm not embarrassed. Amazon manufactures nothing. Produces nothing. Destroys good jobs and replaces with shite jobs...even those jobs will go to robots eventually. ...they do nothing clever or unique (Anyone can sell online, anyone can organize delivery).
Amazon was able to put good people out of business and set the price they wanted to pay (driving other businesses profits down) because Wall Street bankrolled their losses. Amazon's whole business model is volume. Only possible to generate the volume by rigging the game.
...and now, thanks to governments locking other businesses down, they have a monopoly. Bezos gets richer and richer and interferes with elections...which as a good Socialist I am sure you approve of.

Why? No socialists involved in the US election were there. Hey, nothing like American capitalism is there. From Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump to Biden -all happy to build an economy that does not make things. Trump may have pretended to rebuild US industry but did nothing. Can’t remember him being a captain of industry making products either. I think the film ‘Wall Street’ said this back in 1988. Shame we took the same route
Strange how someone decrying fascism behaves like one?
How am I behaving like a Fascist Prof?
Another question for you, is Joe Biden mentally fit to be President? See if you can manage an honest answer to that one.

I have no idea and neither do you. Was Trump or indeed Reagan at the end of his second term? You seem convinced I have some support of Biden. I don’t. He will be as ineffectual as Obama.

You are a bullshitter. F*ck off.

Oh dear! Have I upset you with a factual argument. Are you are consultant neurologist, because I am not?
Factual argument
