He didn't recover from the racist abuse and possibly would have preferred to be on loan in the NW.

Of course he will, or he will go the same way as many do, carving out a decent career in a lower league. Either way, he isn’t good enough as it stands, Naughton and Manning are far too competent in their positions as are Bennett and Cabango. At least Liverpool have found out, that’s the positive. |  |

If it's not for us then who cares? No sense furthering this lad's career when we have two similar young defenders of our own who don't play regularly enough. Better for us to produce a £1m player for Swansea City than another £15m player for Liverpool. | | | |

If you expect to play just because you're on loan from a big team it's not going to happen.
