JDG was undoubtedly a good player I just felt he was playing for himself rather than the team. Ki was a good player who lost interest, in my opinion.

I'll take playing for himself if he contributes as much as he did for two seasons. Getting shot of him and looking to build a midfield around Ki instead was one of many errors made. Ki had talent. He was just a sh*thouse. I will always maintain that a major reason we went down that season is because Fer got injured when he was playing really well and we had to rely on Ki instead. Ki who already had his next move lined up.

Lost interest/next move lined up, it matches. Fer was playing well but he could be a shitehouse too. The number of tackles he should have made but never even tried was ridiculous. We had talented players but we needed an enforcer.

We averaged something like 0.8 points per game more under Carvalhal with Fer available than without. I'll disagree on the missed tackle thing. From memory he took more stick for tackling too much and getting booked/suspended than he did for not tackling at all at the time. He wasn't a great player, but he was what we needed at the time.

| Honestly !! on 17:34 - Nov 18 with 1195 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I see De Guzmn like an oil lubricant for a motor engine. He was like Briton isdictating the tempo and making the engine run smoothly. Alway found his player. Swansea at their potent best were like a Cobra. Comfortable pottering around in possession than striking like Cobra. While Britton and Ki kept the team ticking along De Guzman would change the tempo in attack freeing up Routledge Dyer and Herdandez. It was way too much for Bradford in the FL cup final and quite a few PL teams. | |

| Honestly !! on 19:01 - Nov 18 with 1138 views | max936 | Ki had moments of brilliance, but overall I'd rate him 6/10 at best, De Guzman the same hiding seek champion and a flat track bully, rarely if ever showed up when he was needed, there's a reason why he was a sub so often. Lots loved him though, all about opinions. | |

| Honestly !! on 21:43 - Nov 18 with 1055 views | swancity | Ki was deservedly our player of the year in a good Premier League team for a reason. He didn’t manage to maintain those standards and you wouldn’t want him alongside you in the trenches but he was outstanding for a period. A class act certainly at that time. | |
