| Swansea City latest on Hannes Wolf and more business done this Monday on 20:13 - Jul 4 with 1553 views | jasper_T | Wolf is prohibitively expensive, couldn't get a game in his position, wasn't especially good in the one he ended up playing, we've already signed a player in that position... It's just seems like a non-starter in so many ways that the persistent rumours have to be accurate. It's almost too unbelievable to be fiction. | | | |

Imagine being obsessed with those whose opinions are different . Imagine fans realising by mid season their hopes and optimism has been misplaced and what they thought was right was wrong Every fan both looks forward to a season and dreads it. One day [Post edited 4 Jul 2022 20:36]

He will always be linked with the swans as a result of his desire to come back and Martin wanting him back. The figures though as in the report just don’t stack up for it to happen unless BMG give the club the same deal as in January.

Some will. Others will just go AWOL like they usually do after a win.

Why don't you give it a rest, it's groundhog day everyday with you, every thread is spoilt with your irrational rants. 3 weeks to go let's see how we start. But with a good start you will come out with the same mantra, "Glad I'm wrong"

I wouldn't say he was not good enough for the championship. I would just say that he is overpriced and does not offer value for money and we can do better.

I thought Wolf did improve has the season went on and probably did play out of position for most of those games. While he didn't break down trees, I still think there is a good player there in the right position with a full season ahead of him. But I wouldn't break the bank for him.

There was an article before where he spoke in support of a youngster ( a footballer I think ) who had some sort of bowel disorder ( Crones Disease or similar ) and Martin said he had suffered similarly. Therefore I would guess that is the reason why he is vegan

You are half right. Most fans look forward to a season, end of. Unless your team has been stripped to the bone and had no one in to replace the departed players, then always room for optimism. Dread doesn't come into it unless you are of a certain disposition. Cheer up eh ? Might actually be a happy thing to enjoy ? Like your delightful new lab ?

Perchy doesn't dread a bad season. He's actively hoping for one. That much should be clear to everyone by now.

We have had a pretty good pre season thus far, even the inevitable news that we will likely lose one or possibly 2 of the 3 won't take away from things. We have signed before we sold, we all know we will get a certain percentage of cash to spend from sales and players will arrive once we get players off the books......i think we all understand this and are patient with it. There are 1 or 2 who just seem to want to have a go at every opportunity, it's set in from the start of the season. I put it down as fans who don't go to the stadium that often or very rarely, not at all for full seasons....i think it's a subconscious thing with them that they don't have the real life enjoyment of supporting the Swans and want to bring everyone around them down to their level. You tend to find people will disagree with that but there are a lot of people in life not honest.... Especially with themselves.

He's good enough technically but I thought him a bit lightweight, got pushed around and pushed off the ball too easily. I reckon we could get 2 players and have change from what they want for Wolf. This Ogbeta thing, it sounds like a major cock up. We have signed a dud. Unlike others on here I won't make a prediction of doom and gloom OR sun drenched pastures buzzing with life, just like last season I willl give it some time and see what happens. There is a caveat though, Martin doesn't have any excuses this season. Hes had the full pre-season, he's signed players he wants. I'll wait and see but, we can't carry on playing suicide passes at the back and we have to play with more pace so lets see what he's done and hope there are obvious improvements.
