Although I hate that word,I cant find my thesaurus so it'll have to do'Steven Benda, solid, unspectacular, catches crosses ,capable of making saves and prepared to boot the ball clear when under pressure.
He will make us more solid if only his defenders quit stroking the ball 3 yards in their own penalty area.
What he needs now is somehow to control his defenders .

He has been criminally under deployed and I hope he is given another contract .

Russell made out that he had some sort of character issues last season. When it’s actually obvious that what he’s asking of his young goalie would crush their confidence. Now he’s not asking him to do kamikaze things, he’s playing well and his head is in a good place. Funny that. Why not come out and say I threw the lad under the bus a little bit but no, blames him for being fragile mentally last season. I hate RM’s man management, absolutely shocking.

Agreed on Benda, he looks far more assured and I think that the defenders are far more comfortable with him in the goals.

Deffo deserves the shirt going forward.

We are posting more cordially and that is more important than anything on here.
Thanks Daps,genuinely.

I was worried last season about Martin ,far more than the hate speech that comes my way from people who now agree with me but wont admit it. Now,it looks grim. That QPR victory aved his bacon but bacon can go rancid quickly.

I reckon part of RM's reason for throwing players under the bus is....self preservation. He always wants to blame others, t's always the player or the officials but it's never his fault.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

So Martin had issues with Benda; Martin had issues with Piroe initially; Martin has issues with Ogbeta; Martin has issues with Obafemi.

No prizes for spotting the common denominator here!

Im not sure it is Cat.
There again,Im not sure of anything regarding him.
We can and should do better.

I stand by my opinion he is killing talent of young players ;why take the industrious ,fit Cooper off for Ntcham and Paterson -an utter flake in shorts. It was disgusting.I recall young Joseph being brough on in the 93 rd minute. I'm not having it.

Site will be far better going forward without a doubt, will be the odd bicker but it will certainly not be dragged out with page after page of nonsense.

Martin is definetly at a cross roads and he can easily go down the wrong way as much as he can the correct one. I still believe he can get things right but he needs to get it to click as quick as he can.

I was encouraged by last night's performance aside from a moment of foolishness from Naughton then we would have all been happy with a point...........so many fine lines have gone the wrong way this season but atleast we are in those positions to have a chance in the first place but we certainly have to become streetwise as quick as we can.

7 points dropped this season that we put in our own lap in the first place only to throw them away.

Fair and Im as guilty as anyone for bickering;it's only because I stand up to what I believe is wrong.I have run my life like that and have many scars to prove it.
I have said before I d rather bitch than simply see anodyne garbage that only sees some professing their fandom. Any real fan is truly worried right now and if they can't rip into Martin they do so to other posters;I d take that if it meant we get better as a team.

We are nothing but people who exchange views .None of the hate speech is said to the face.

Still posts about the keeper passing the ball short yet again last night their goal came from pushing too far forward and the midfield dawdling.

I thought there were lots of positives.

Ok, we overcommitted going for an injury time winner and didn’t have any pace on the pitch at the end (unless Stevens is quick, haven’t seen him at full throttle yet).

Aside from the first 10 minutes and a brief period on the second half, I thought we more than competed with them. We still try to play football but are far more pragmatic. We created chances, Piroe would have had a couple on another day. We restricted one of the best teams in the league to probably fewer decent opportunities than we had.

The double substitution didn’t work and I think (hope) he’ll think carefully before throwing those two on at the same time again.

Tuesday night a case in point , he couldn’t wait to get on to have a go at them

That is one of the reasons I've lost patience with him, he's been a manager for a few years now and over a year with us, you would think he would have learnt as he's gone on but he is still making excuses, none of them include himself being part of the problem.

I am of the opinion that simply removing him would be a blessed relief for the players.
There should be enough in the squad to stay up but no more as we are weak where it matters most.
We should be brave and give the captaincy to Joe Allen ,who ,although well past his best ,is light years away from Grimes who will never be half the player Joes was or is now.

Stevens should replace Naughton and be played at right back. Cabango and Darling?Wood and Manning as a back four .It is the best we could do really.

Obefemi ,sadly, needs to play and can release his frustrations/attitude on the pitch along with Piroe who is getting increasing pyssed off and who can blame him.

Cooper had issues with all of Potters signings. Asoro, McKay and John featured in the QPR
FA cup abomination and never kicked a ball for Swansea again. Celina was given time simply to function a transfer fee and he was a goner too.

Common denominator there too. They all failed the 'non negotiable' test. Falling out with players is what managers do. Even Pep.

Martin is under pressure. He loves Swansea but Swansea does not love him while he throws away matches with gay abandon. More grit and less style is on the menu.

Wise sage since Toshack era

I heard on the grapevine (so in all likelihood complete bollocks) that Martin has been read the riot act after the Luton shambles. Benda has to play more because he’s viewed as an asset that could very well significantly improve in value and could be the next big money sale. And we have to cut back on the stupid suicide football at the back which gifts opposing teams an automatic 4 easy chances per match.

These results below say it all about RM’s lack of ability in coaching his players, his lack of man management ie. Pis*ing off certain players, plus his incredible talent of bringing on the wrong substitutions at the wrong time ~~>

Reading 4-4 (3-1 up)
Bournemouth 3-3 (3-0 up)
Oxford 2-2 (2-0 up)
Millwall 2-2 (2-0 up)
Stoke 1-1
Sheff U 0-1

MARTIN OUT!!!

Painful.
Some have stated on here they ENJOYED some of those games and they were entertained.
They were entertained at Bear Baiting contests and public execution, not that I 'm suggesting Russ gets the gallows, just simply get out of the club
