It’s quite clear the deadline day dealings with Burnley were not to his liking, and he wanted to leave Swansea City, and now his reaction is as we have seen before.  1

Without knowing what’s going on in his life, it comes across as a very childish reaction. Much harder to attract bigger clubs if they think you’re going to be a problem child.
It’s pretty much accepted that Piroe would have been amenable to a PL or possibly Watford/Burnley type move, but he’s just got his head down, made the most of the chance to play in his favoured position and banged some goals in. A much better way to engineer a move in the next window. | | | |

The problem with this type of behaviour is that it can quickly become contagious through the squad. We just have to hope that RM & co can handle this appropriately.
If this behaviour become prevalent every time a player doesn’t get what he wants or gets dropped then the whole mantra of the ‘process’ & the ‘group’ will fall apart. It is easy to see how others who have been dropped could follow the same patterns of behaviour if not handled properly. Who is next Ntcham, Darling, Cabango, Fisher, Wood, Ogbeta etc ? |  | | |

We dealt with this the best way, give him the break he wants, but he will have to fight to get into the starting eleven again. The last couple of games we looked better with Piroe as striker, so it's kind of worked out and so it doesn't look good on him if we start picking up results without him. If he doesn't play his stock falls added with his throw out his toys attitude, he's probably doing his career more harm than good career wise. [Post edited 13 Sep 2022 10:56]

I'm not saying he is or he isn't, but I'm wary of rushing to judgement based on incomplete data. All we had in the first half of last season was mumblings about "unprofessionalism" yet whenever Oba actually got rare minutes on the pitch he looked fit, motivated and willing to work hard for the team.
We've seen on too many occasions already how players who don't, for whatever reasons, meet RM's "ideal" and get frozen out of proceedings. | |

If Oba is saying he wont play the guys a complete idiot, if Martin is dropping him when he wants to be involved then Martin is......?
We have seen players frozen out before, it may seem to some that if your face doesn't fit then it's the naughty step for you.
Maybe Cullens face fits and that's why he gets chances his ability hasn't earned? | |

However we are talking about Burnley who are in the same division as us and there is no guarantee they will get promoted any time soon ?
