I care less about them these days compared with the noughties when they used to laud the league position over us etc given we’ve had much more success since, I see Bristol City as more of a rival now. Would love it if they got relegated though, it’s in our interest. Plus it’s hard to have sympathy with fans that chant gas a Jack, do horse impressions and chant about pedophilia. I don't see having 4 good Welsh teams as aiding the national team. If we have talent like Bale, Ramsey and Allen, or previous players like Rush, Hughes etc, they won't be at a Welsh club for long anyway.
The important thing is that Welsh players play at a high enough level and I don't think which club they are with matters, after all plenty of players from Belgium play in a different country and it didn't stop them, apart from they never quite had the win their talents maybe deserved.
Edit, sorry. Anyway, when I was younger I hated Cardiff. It was the 80's and every game against them was ramped up, the intensity on and off the pitch was huge, its not like that anymore. These days we are so clearly the better club and the better TEAM that they have become almost irrelevant. If we beat them again next time , well it's more expected than anticipated now.
Their antics, specially the reful to pay up over Sala and the other problems has made them a laughing stock. Tan, for so long hailed the billionaire saviour who would lead this "bigger than Barca" club to the promised land is actually leading them into the abyss and they are going really very meekly too. I am from out in the sticks originally and have not adopted south Wales urban rivalries which I see as largely an artificial construct.
The Union flag wavers and travellers on here are most vociferous in fanning local rivalries while degeneration most things Welsh like Western Mail, the Senedd, BBC Wales etc. They big up inter Welsh rivalries and play down Welsh English rivalries. The flag wavers and Anglophones on here will play up to second city concerns and complexes and label people like me as extremists and hate filled bigots.
This is not correct at all. This is football and I want to beat the English and Cardiff while accepting their big urban teams are much better than Swansea at the moment. Huw Jenkins for 2-3 season re wrote the script. No wonder he is vilified by Anglophone Swansea fans.
I have many nice English friends that accept the sporting challenges and have no problem with the likes of Jason Cundy trashing the Welsh national team. He was right we were rubbish in Qatar.
I see the "BBC Wales did not even report our 3-0 win over Peterborough in their 7 am news summary this morning, I wonder why?" posts as frankly pathetic.
Cardiff are having said that an dreadfully run club with truly horrible fans in the main. When they play Millwall I hope Cardiff win as Millwall fans are more horrible than them and I generally want Welsh teams to beat English teams, the bigger the better. I want Cardiff to beat Leeds for sure.
I do not accept ethnic slurs in good faith. I am no 'Uncle Tom'. "Do not take offence young nephew there are too many of those pale skinned English folk to get angry with or you will get yourself in a whole heap of trouble boy. They do not really mean it, now eat your supper.".

I got a work Butty who loves them, bought his 4 kids Shirts for Christmas and put a season ticket in each package, he doesn't think much of the Jacks though 
I worked with him yesterday and he said he can't wait for April 1st, I said to him you're a sadist as well then I can't wait either a double double coming up and you'll be immigrating

There’s loads about from Caerphilly to Merthyr, Pentyrch, Cowbridge, Bargoed, Treochy, Pencoed, Ponty, Llantrisant etc. is he bald and over fifty ? It would explain a lot.
I’ll add mountain ash / Bridgend there’s more.
Thing is it’s that attitude that has killed them for years.
