Obafemi and Paterson ? Good riddance ASAP 13th Jan 2023 11:26
Michael Obafemi and Jamie Paterson are nearing the Swansea City exit door as Burnley and Coventry City now seem prepared to make their interest more concrete over the coming days. Both won’t appear for the swans this weekend. Morgan Whittaker will also not be selected based outside interest in his services this week. 2

Pretty much sums up my feelings , they're both in a privileged position in life and before anyone as often happens come up with we'd all do the same to secure our families futures, sorry but no I for one and I suspect many others wouldn't . They've been blessed with the good fortune in life to earn a more than decent living paid for by us , those who have work hard for the basic requirements of just putting food on the table and heating their homes etc . Good riddance doesn't go any where near to discribing how I feel about them and the many others who over the years bleat and moan about their lot in life , always looking for the next big money move regardless of the way they go about it .

Should have got rid of Paterson last January. Complete waste of space since.

Indeed I can recall comments made regarding Paterson that now seem rather hollow .

He is and always has been a nonentity on the pitch as is the case of Mikey

Both the players are seen as liabilities. This means they are negative assets. Getting a £100k extra for them can be offset for Ogbene.

Swansea undersold Jamal Lowe for £2.5m and got theoretically a better player in Obafemi in for a similarly bargain price late in the window.

Swansea have to 'wheel and deal' and have generally not been good at this. Whitaker will be kept unless big dough is offered, He is not a liability.

One has to ask the question about who assessed these two signing. Professionals often talk about the character of the player. People got carried away with Patterson who had a purple patch out of keeping with his past achievement, The only thing they starred in since was Swans TV videos. Trundle made you laugh and delivered on and off the pitch.

Both poorly treated by a manager seemingly hell bent on passing the blame for his continued failings onto anyone else. How anyone could watch the way the two linked with Piroe last season and take pleasure at their departure is beyond me.

Massive. Massive wasted opportunity.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Doc if what I have been told is true they are disruptive influences not following rules all professional footballers must follow. If this is true they have to go, with no blame attached to anyone at the club, the management have tried.

They appear to be 2 players who've thrown their toys out when they didn't get the moves they wanted.

Agree with original poster.

The situation we find ourselves in with the 2 has nothing to do with how they have been treated by Martin, the issue is not between manager and players..
.......people higher up are not happy with certain things the 2 have done(or even not done).

Any other line of work and the 2 would have gone a long time ago.

If every a pair were Joined Together it was those two , initially I thought they were a pair of Happy Jack s , a pity maybe too many Substitute appearances did it for them .

A massive opportunity missed - by both of them. And they didn’t have the brains or application to take it. Martin has many faults but I can’t blame him for this.

Edit - they’re virtually sh*tying on the hallowed white shirt. I’m surprised any Swans supporter could actually side with them.

I agree
On the day Obafemi in particular was brilliant.
Shame about his atmosphere.
Psto gone apparently, hopefully Obafemi won't be far behind
