Martin has a strong roster in my opinion and no additions are needed. He needs to get rid of player not bring new ones in.
There are a very large pool of players available in the summer. Swansea are not strong enough to make a serious promotion push and are now out of the FA cup. The team were light up top because Cullen and Piroe did not play together.
Had Martin got the team to the top 8 I believe the US owner would have backed him.
In my opinion the "Yanks" would be incredulous at "Limey" moaning that the team lacks fire power. He has six forwards of quality available to him now. Cullen, Piroe, Patterson, Obafemi Whittaker and Joseph (if he has a recall clause).
He also has 20 year old Josh Thomas 18 year old Iwan Morgan who know where the net is.
The recruitment team should be looking to secure free out of contract player for the summer and shift malcontents.
Cooper was brutal with Asoro. I did not hear "he is a lovely guy I get on well with him". Cooper made one and only one statement. "he is not in my plans".
The solution is simple give Patterson to Coventry and sell Obafemi for £2m -£3m to to keep the lights on. Play Whittaker instead of Patterson or Cullen and do not sign anyone else.
Ogbene should be told to sit tight and reconvene in the summer. A full firing Ogbene will drive Swansea forward for 13th or so to 8th. What is the point? .
Swansea also have Piroe down to his last year in the summer and Martin he needs to persuade him to sign a new deal. If not he will only have Cullen left who he is prepared to play and who is prepared stick around and graft for him.

When Whittaker was recalled Martin said it was not for him to be sold. Once he was told that there was an offer and the club would accept it if it reached the required amount, he changed his stance to Whittaker would be sold only if there was a sizable offer or words to that effect. Therefore he was brought back to be intergreated into the squad but the owners have decided to sell if they can. Therefore they have decided he can not play. Keith could confirm or deny this.
