What it does is show the difference right now between our clubs They bring in a proven international who is proving a significant investment whereas we pay 6 m for a player, not prolific in any club he’s been We pay far less wages to him but he will be hard to shift out and we will make a loss on him Can’t see the sense of it myself

I’d have been delighted to sigh Moore in the summer, particularly as Vipotnik hadn’t exploded at that point abd we only had him and Cullen. Reality though is he’ll be on massive wages and have no resale value. Wrexham can afford to sign a player knowing he’ll be worthless in a couple of years. Most Championship clubs can’t. Most of our summer signings will have been made with one eye on increasing their value.

Morning However should they get promoted he would have added significant value He will score on excess of 20 goals this season We paid 6 m more for Idah so the wages issue less significant From what we’ve seen , Idshs value will decrease and we might be left with a dud we can’t offload Every club fans before is testament to this He’s not been a smart buy unless our coach improves him Galbraith and Eiddell are the diamonds we possess as well as VIP

I’m not sure Idah was the best buy. Still early days but it was a deadline day signing when clubs knew we were desperate for a striker. Whether we should have paid huge wages and probably a big signing on fee for a 33 year old and whether Idah was a good signing are separate questions. Like I said, I’d have loved us to have signed Moore, but I fully understand why we weren’t interested. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

On the first half showing last night I thought they may struggle to stay up, certainly bottom half. But the second half performance makes me think they could be contenders. Can’t say I’m delighted by that but them’s the facts!

| Coventry beaten then on 11:16 - Nov 1 with 1301 views | Dr_Winston | There was no chance whatsoever of us signing a 33 year old striker and paying him upwards of £2m a year (if not more). Anyone who thinks that there was, or if that would have fitted in with what we're trying to do here in any way, shape or form has a catastrophic misunderstanding of what we're about as a club. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

We would have got Idah before deadline day if Rogers hadn't messed us about. Time will tell if he is a good buy or not.

By a couple of days. He was still a panic buy. He may turn out ok. He doesn’t look a bad player, but I don’t see him thriving unless we change the system to get players around him. We let better slip through our fingers as we were very focused on the lad who went to Paris IMO
| Coventry beaten then on 11:45 - Nov 1 with 1248 views | KeithHaynes | Vipi needs to watch those three goals last night. Moore displayed the perfect way to make space, arrive in the area on time and composure. ATM Vip isn’t the all round deal, Moore is. | |

But apparently Moore didn't fit the data profile.

Neither him nor McBurnie wanted to come, I doubt we even looked at Moore.

I would have thought we had the data on every player, if we didn't even look at Moore surly it means he didn't hit the data profile and get flagged up. But I'm sure we knew of his availability, it was mentioned on here recently by another poster.

He has been a bit crap so far but as a fanbase we do tend to often write players off too soon. He’s only been here about a month. He’s getting the same amount of shite service as Vipotnik but unlike Vipotnik he’s not smashing in worldies from 25 yards every week.
