I suspect this data has contributed to his sacking
I dont get this hang up on data it has always been used in sourcing players in the old days sxouts sat in stands with notebooks....rexirding tackles made,passes how the player was on each foot,but nowadys laptops and tablets have replaced the notebooks and pens with software collating the data. Also with the abundance of video footage this is done centrally with then scouts probanly goi g ti a few game sro watxh identified players in the flesh....things have mived on just like the trianer with a bucket if cold water and sponge has been replaced by physios and mesical bags |  |

Swansea City can confirm the club has parted ways with head coach Alan Sheehan.
The 39-year-old was appointed as full-time head coach in April following two highly-impressive stints in interim charge of the Swans.
Alan initially took over in December 2023, overseeing seven games with a win percentage of 42.86 per cent.
His second spell in charge saw him record a win percentage of 58.3 per cent from 13 games, including a run of five wins in a row.
However, in the wake of a disappointing run, it is felt results and performances do not meet the standards expected at this stage of the season, and we have had to take this difficult decision.
The process to appoint a new head coach is already under way. We will update supporters on this process once it has been concluded.
Swansea City owners Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen said: “Alan has been instrumental in helping improve the club through two periods of time. Alan has a tireless work ethic, an honest approach and a positive attitude. He has put his full effort into the job on behalf of the club.
“The club would like to place on record its thanks to Alan for all of his hard work during his time at Swansea City. We wish Alan and his family all the best for the future.” | | | |

Agreed, but these same problems have been there a while. Remember last October when we went the whole month without a goal? People used to point at Grimes, but it wasn't him, as the lack of goals continues to be a problem. So, yes, we need a clean sweep of the back room and a total change in the mentality of the side. | | | |

I have been as critical as many over the last few weeks, and have some sympathy for AS ATM, anyone who hass been in this position will know the feelings he and his family are having , and I wish them wella nd good luck, but football is a results game, and i am sure those at this top level know what holding the position of manager at a club ends with....data shows that!!
I had my doubts in pre season, our friendlies we offered nowt, and since , weve struggled and survived on a purple patch of goasl from VIP, and some superbs saves , and glaring misses by other teams.i told my mate last night if this action was witheld for a month or so we w ould go down, its probably going to be hard work as it is.
i hope that someone at the club has laready made some searches over the last few weeks/month for that "maybe" action required.
I just hope what they have planned now isnt what I think it is, after seeing some tweets already. | | | |

How is Grimes getting on at Coventry? We, as fans, get it wrong most of the time. Parker in for Key didn't work, while Galbraith at full back for Key was even worse. Yet plenty of fans wanted Key dropped and still do. How about Vipi and the amount of people wanted him sold last summer? Didn't the Indy run a story that he was going? They certainly run one that Sheehan wasn't going anywhere.
