Would you like to see the return of Mr Warnock? on 14:51 - Nov 28 by BrianMcCarthy
True, except for three things:-
1. NW would require loads of new players. Again. 2. NW didn't endear himself to his bosses last time he was here by publicly campaigning for Ferdinand's job, and most importantly 3. As a club we have to be about something. We could start by being about loyalty.
1.Sitting 16th in December maybe we need some new players then Brian perhaps?
We certainly need a new back 4 and GK so that's only half a team needed.
2.Did he? More importantly he endured himself to the fans by winning promotion that season.
3.There is no loyalty in football anymore. Its Elite sports, you don't perform, you are out.

1. Maybe we do, i wouldn't say as many as five. I think we need to buy or develop a commanding goalie, a commanding and fast centre-back and a Faurlin-type controilling centre-mid.
2. Ya, he did.
3. To exist without ethics is to half-exist in a soulless, ghostlike state.

Hmmm whilst I agree with that Brian this is Neil we are talking about here and not any other manager.
Of course Warbs shouldn't be sacked on what we have seen so far but once again this is Warnock we are talking about here.
NW has been the best QPR manager in the last 30 odd years and is a serial promotion winning manager and any championship club would be blessed to have him, no?
but 'once again' we shouldn't be sacking anyone in November even if Pep G wanted the job!

I think that W should be given much more time to try to turn this around but if we get well and truly thrashed at Derby might the powers that be start to consider a managerial change??

As frustrating as last month has been and of course there is stuff to be worried about but really we've played Leeds, brentford, Fulham and Forest who have all spent fortunes and have better teams than us and lost all those games.
December fixture lost looks kinder on paper so we should see an upturn in results soon

You'd have to be absolutely insane to even consider having Warnock back at the club.
Eh? People said that a few years ago when he went and took a very average Cardiff team to promotion.
Anyway I'd keep MW for a few years at least unless things go horrible wrong, but I don't get this hate for Warnock who is the most successful manager ever in getting promotion with little money and gave us our best season for 25 years.

Will never forget that brilliant season and it was a fantastic achievement given the mess he inherited but don't fall for the myth that it was achieved on a shoestring.
By most estimates he spent £5-6 million on transfers that close season which by the fees commanded in the Championship nowadays is probably at least three times as much, not forgetting also the loans for Walker and Routledge which wouldn't have been free.

Please don't confuse this with hate, because it's not. As you say Warnock gave me the best season of my lifetime but can we put the myth that we didn't spend money that season to bed.
His incredible achievement lays in the ability to get us promoted with Paliadini and Briatore upstairs and the Faurlin affair not frugality.

The time to bring Warnock back was when he took over on an interim basis in late 2015, rather than Hasselbank who turned out to be a disaster. Warburton is doing a great job and he got the tactics spot on yesterday at Derby after the blip against Notts Forest. My view is we are performing well against the teams mid table or below but fall short against the top teams. Warburton right man for the job and we need to give him time, the football is better this season, getting results away from home, we just lack the quality and money to make a top 6 place a reality.
