Whose going to feature the most from the U23s?

Bettache probably judging by what MW has said and what we've seen.

Bettache is the one being touted but I have this sneeky feeling that the one that could surprise is Alfa.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

Alfa seems to be quietly creating a lot of buzz internally, but his only loans so far have been v low level - that being said, Eze has been one of a number of people suggesting that him, Bright and others are just the start of what will be a v productive development system, which is quite exciting.

Even if we just create some genuine squad options rather than all out stars like Ebs, that will be good. Of course if we manage to secure some more transfers it should give some flex for loans for the likes of Alfa, Bettache, Gubbins, etc. There's obviously a few that could do with a season or two before playing for us.

Haven’t we got a kid called Romeo?

If so let’s see a midfield of:-

Alfa Romeo Eze Chair

I think we’ll see a few games with 7 or 8 players on the pitch either being U23’s or having graduated from that set up
It’s fantastic and I’m sure we’ll reap the rewards

Patience is however key

I think we might see Gubbins a fair bit this season but Bettache seems to be leading the U23 pack at the moment.

Warburton was very much pushing Charlie Owens into the first team, until he was injured.

I know it's a long way back from knee surgery, but maybe post Christmas he might be back.

Ah, was going to ask about Charlie Owens, as he'd been touted a lot, but have seen he's had to have another operation.

That's a big shame for him.

Young enough to make a come back but a great shame as he was pretty highly touted.

Charley Kendall scored 12 goals in 16 games for the U18s and has stepped up to the U23s so he may well get some minutes as well.

Never knowingly right.

Like the way the club are bringing through younger players from the ranks. We know we have to be financially sound and live within our means, but the policy is starting to pay dividends. A balanced model of home grown talent and purchasing sensibly has to be the way forward.

i think faysal deserves a chance and almost certain he will be used the most this season out of the under 23's. how longs he been at qpr, 6 years ?
i've always been impressed with him, especially his work rate when i've watched him run out for the youngsters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Amrit Bansal-McNulty moved up to the first team this season with Jake Frailing and Nathan Carlyle as outside shots for a few appearances to see how they fare at that level... or going out on loan to decent sides as an alternative.

The grass is always greener.

If we don't bring in another striker, it has to be Ramkilde to step up.

Got to say Bettache looked like he can step up.... Exciting prospect.

Poll: Are we staying up?

Sure this is based on one proper viewing, but Bettache looked like he had all the attributes to succeed in a Warburton team. He never hid, always showed for the ball, kept busy and distributed calmly and smartly without ever straying from position. Clearly something to work with there. Warburton said he'd hoped to give Bettache more game time last season too, presumably if we'd cruised the post-lockdown games we'd have seen more of him.

Guessing with Gubbins if we can bring in a couple of defenders then the loan move is going to be best thing for him now with a view to seeing more of him the following season

When was the last time that this was the case? The Gallen, Dichio, Perry, Beazier, Quashie days?

A bit premature on Kendall. He stepped up to U23s last year but didn't set the world on fire.

ATM Bettache, Gubbins and Alfa seem to be the most likely.

Charley Kendall was injured for most of last season and only played 4 games. He looks a real prospect but needs to continue his previous progress this year. Good luck to the lad.
