I'm sure I've seen England play worse, but I can't remember when.
It was probably a bad omen that when I went to the train station at Audley End to catch the train to Twickenham, there were four other England supporters there, but there were seventeen Ireland fans.
It was a very average Ireland side, so to beat us by a record margin just goes to show how poor we were. |  |

That was atrocious decision making after we scored what should have been the winning try. We gathered it from the re-start and only had to hang on to it for two minutes but first we box-kick it to give France possession and then somehow win it back only for Pollock to throw it away again.

One of the (many) reasons I hate modern day rugby union, too many games decided by referees.
Saw the score near the end and knew exactly what would happen. Same as South Africa in the world cup.

It was worse than our Wrexham collapse. Ahead against a team down a player and looking tired, with only a couple of minutes to go, should have been home and hosed.
England have been woeful all tournament. Poor discipline, and while I'm no expert, our backs seem to change weekly.
Why Andy Farrell and Shaun Edwards aren't at the helm of England can only be down to the 57 farts not wanting league players in charge. | |

We see things totally different here Phido because I thought Itoje was superb yesterday and a brilliant captain for the Lions and England.
I am not 100% sure about rugby rules and was watching the highly biased (pro England ) RTE coverage but they were incensed by the ref for that awful penalty try right on halftime and yellow card and to nobodys surprise he gave France the chance to win it all.Then there was confusion on the location which of course Itoje has the right to get involved and question the spot .I love that guy plus he played against Ireland after his Mother died .
England deserved to win that and hand the title to Ireland IMO | | | |

It was an enthralling match. Where did England pull that performance from? Certainly not in the previous 3 games. France were completely rattled and out on their feet. England should have won. I'll discipline cost them all tournament. France scored twice while Genge was in the bin. And then to give away that penalty after taking the lead with 2 mins to go. Criminal. |  |

Great game for the neutral. I thought the ref was pretty poor for both sides - lots of inconsistent decisions. In the end England would have won if they had held onto the ball at the end rather than giving it back to France. |  |

for me the game is being ruined by the sin bins, we want and end to players seriously injured and violent play, england had many yellows but few for punch ups or violent play, most were for technical stuff even tmo struggled to be clear.
we had france struggling and then a yellow no one saw, expected and it seems the refs want any reason to stop england . the sin bin cost us 2 tries and maybe the game. but what a game in paris, a last ditch penalty kick won it for them but then again, a france player ran 10 yards to attack pollock from behind, and begin a melee, ref? nothing. | | | |

Ref was poor overall, but the final pen was correct, it just appears late because it's a TMO call because the England tighthead has absolutely leather the French carrier in the head, then Itoje intentionally knocks it on in a savvy bit of play, and he was correct, even though it's advantage it's a new pen and it was meant to be taken from there rather than the original (I was maddened a couple of years ago at Twickenham in the red, where under advantage, Ireland had tackled England out wide and should've just outrageously spoiled the ball to force a harder kick, instead of very sportingly let them set up a drop goal) |  | | |
