Sorry, can’t see a thread on this anywhere and I don’t normally give transfer tittle tattle any time but lot äs of talk about Jamal Lowe completing a QPR medical today.

I really can't see how he's an improvement on even Thomas, Adomah, Roberts or Richards.

Hardly a signing that sets my heart racing, and makes no sense to me.

Waiting to see Danny P’s copy of Lowe Expectations.

Could be either a placated signing for the ‘sign a f****** striker crowd’ or cover for a departing player if you ask me.

Lower scoring rate than Dykes which is significant.

He's a huge upgrade on Thomas or Adomah.

He's fast, scored 14 goals in his one season of being a regular starter up front in this division. And can also play on the wing.

Have reservations about another loan, and inevitably high wages but I think he clearly improves the squad in two positions - which given Critchley's seeming preference for 4-2-3-1 is very useful.

Have always rated him, was good at Swansea a couple of seasons back. Could be a Wells type signing for us.

very good acquisition in this league... bet there aren't many championship teams that wouldn't snap him up given the chance.

we do seem to bat well above the 'shoestring budget' narrative continually cited as the reason for our lack of success, esp on load signings

Desperately need another forward just to give us a different option, he's at least something different to what we already have

In my admittedly limited knowledge, I’ve always thought of Lowe as in the ‘not particularly arsed’ category of football.

If so, he should fit in well.

Having missed out on Joao Felix, Lowe seems the obvious alternative option.

At 0:05, I recognise that watch.

I'm absolutely certain we've signed Camilla Parker-Bowles.

I don't think he is what we would ideally want, so, a proven striker - gasp - but every team wants one of those.

Where I do think he helps us is in terms of competition for places because:
- He is not over the hill
- He is established at this level, not someone who is still trying to make the grade
- He has come from a decent club, not a lower league outfit
- As Northern has said, he offers something no one else in the squad appears to have, pace.

I think that even if he proves to be the latest in a long line of damp squibs, he at least puts pressure on our attacking players - both strikers and midfielders - all of whom have been underperforming. Signing him would mean some of those who have pretty much been guaranteed a start might be waiting for the team sheet with a bit more trepidation than normal from now on.

We can hope...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Just the kind of signing we needed in January last season. Unfortunately he went to the club with parachute payments.

Decent signing.

Least he'll be able to say "stupid boy" if a pass doesn't reach him.

Quintessential QPR modern era signing.
Could have had him for nothing when he was in our academy, released him at 15.
Could have had him for next to nothing when he played non-league locally.
Could have had him for a few hundred k when he was playing lower league.
Now he's Premier League and paid accordingly, we'd like him on loan.
